2003 Team vs 2010 Team

After watching the 2003 game between the sharkies and the bunnys and reveiwing the 2003 season i was thinking were in a very similar situation this year. So i was thinking which team you would prefer.

Yea i was watching the chooseday night football game and he tore up the rabbitoh he made a 30m break to score and another one to put a grubber in for bird to score it was quite amazing actually

Great game to watch hey - our defense was pretty damn poor though! Great to see Gal score a try, break the line and grubber ahead for Birdy to score!

Triester was awesome loved him.

Id probably take Snowy and Dougy over Stevens and Beattie although i loved them as well. We had our Nutts with us as well. Matty Hilder as well which im still pissed that we lost.

Anderson was about the only thing i hated about that team. But **** him and Ricky are about the same. 1 good year and alot of **** years. Both got rid of our best play maker (Bird and dont give me **** about the board if Ricky pushed harder we would of kept him)

2003, for me this is a much more rounded team that we have today. Thats what we are missing. 2003 we had a great forward rotation, stevens (my all time fav shark), beattie, galloway, nutley. Not only this they also had a good halves combination of bird and kimorley, which is where the biggest difference lies in the two teams. a team will never get anywhere if it has the below average halves performances we are producing

2010 > 2003

Bird was crap until 2007 when Raper moved him to the back row. If you are thinking that this team (2003) had the 2008 model Birdy you are mistaken.

The 2003 team was probably the worst of the decade IMO. We had worse teams in the 90's though - Remember Teevan, Topper, Bowne, Sammut and Wrigley?

I tend to agree. When I look at our team on paper I think "wow, this is a quality team" but we shoot ourselves in the foot more than often.

Also, that Rabbitohs outfit looked a whole lot of nothing. More than confident our 2010 team would win (against our 2003 side).
