Crickey! Ross is just returning from injury, and has one off game, give him time and he'll be back to the form he was in early last season. I think frustration is getting the better of us.

Hrvatska, Ross only played 2 or 3 games last season, then he bust his knee!

I saw the Dragons game and as someone who lives in Dragons territory I would love nothing more than the to see the Dragons get flogged.

However, the only way we can beat the Dragons though is that if the same Sharks team that turned up for round one decides to make an appearance again.

Guys, I think we're all on the same page (except those who continue to bag Kimmorley). Our half back tries his guts out to inspire his team in defence (who else does?), so what does the poor little bugger have left in the tank when the time comes for attack? We need another option (or two). If you want to bag Kimmorley, suggest an alternative, otherwise give the guy some credit for having a go every week this year (which is more than can be said for some).

Kimmorley ended up with 22 tackles DOUBLE that of Joe Williams, no wonder he is under the pump all the time, he needs support out there and Kearney didnt show it tonight (in the first half)
You should find Simmons back to PL next week with Kearney going back to fullback and look to seeing a forward being dropped???

Sharky boy, did you not read my team for next week. I believe Kearney should go to hooker. He is easily the most dangerous player we have at the moment and every other team seems to have a fast, nippy hooker. Simmons can only get better and i believe that he is in the top 17 at the sharks. Please, can one of you please try and tell me that Covell was "one of our best" like the cockrings on the cssc website would have us to believe. Im itching to reply to that. Covell scored one speculator then done **** all. And this **** all includes coming off his wing (again) and being put down the sideline only to get caught within a couple of metres (again). Other than that his involvement was poor and he was outplayed by Anderson. Come on Peachey or Sharks 185, remind me how it was a good decision to keep Covell in first grade over Merrit.

Yeah I saw the drags game and they only got back into the contest when Thurston was sent to the bin, up until then they were getting flogged.

Teflon has a very good point, when things that Covell does come off he looks fantastic, but when they don't he looks like he should be playing Premier League. But who's fault is it? He's done it every week this year and Ricky persists. I haven't seem Jim Dymock run out and hand Covell the magic water bottle and have a word in his ear, have you?

Is this part of the new defensive approach we've adopted, too early to tell I think.

If you think Simmons did Ok for his first game back. You have to get off the grappa.

Its about time we all admitted we don't have a fullback. But the Bunnies have a sensational one.

Peachey, when the opposing centre gets the ball and comes your way (if your a winger) and you have ten or so metres to move, you have to back off a little/slide towards your apposing winger, and have faith/rely on your inside men to make the takcle. Covell constantly comes in off his wing making it a foregone conclusion that he will get scored on. If he backs off a little atleast the inside men are a chance. Covell is a reserve grader along with Kingston.

Teflon - Covell isn't alone in this, Fraser Anderson also came off his wing tonight and gave Merritt a saloon passage down the sideline to score in the corner - the compressed defence that Ricky has been trying to implement was found wanting, due to the fast play the balls and wide passing game of the Rabbits. Rather than blaming individual players for this, our weakness out wide tonight would seem due more to a tactical error on the part of the coaching staff, in my opinion.

Sharkyboy, Covell played solely for premier league when he was at the tigers. Look how many attacking options they have on the wing. If you all want safety first on the wings then you are all subscribing to a loser attitude. Safe and reliable was the sole reason that Covell was kept ahead of Merritt for the majority of the 2005 season when merritt was scoring five tries a game and kicking 10 goals every week in premier league. Nah, we will stick with the guy who kicks gaols (except for the pressure ones) and may score 4 tries a season. I dare anyone here to say that Covell is better than Merritt.

Megashark, I have the upmost respect for you mate, but Covell is a serial offender. The guy offers this side nothing but a solid wing position. He rarely breaks the line, scores very few tries, constantly gets run down when he gets put away and make alot of poor reads in defence. **** that. Ive seen Misi play and he is a better player than Covell. He is very aggresive, bends the line back when he runs and has the ability to run the length. Hannay is just as good a kicker as Covell and our premier league side may need the Cov's assistance.

You guys didn't play that bad tonight. It was only a couple of defensive lapses (thank you Reece) and some rock solid Souths defence that kept you out of the game.

Greg Bird had a great game. Your patience with him looks like it's going to pay off this year.

One question, who was the genius at Cronulla that decided to play Nathan Merritt in PL last year and then let him go?

Doh!

Compressed defensive lines always make wingers look bad when tries are scored out wide.

If you truly understand the game, you would understand that and realise that the wingers have to come in because ther are not the numbers to mark up out wide because inside they were compressed (you know more than one on one). Hence why they call it a COMPRESSED defensive line.

If you would like a better explanation perhaps we could get hand puppets for you. Even though your mum probably makes you sleep with boxing gloves on as it is.

As for my ability to read I am not sure maybe you should ask the lecturers from my under graduate, masters or CPA.
