Seems a bit silly and unrealistic to base your FG coaches employment on the back of winning a single game. How much time would a win actually buy him? Another couple weeks? And then what he gotta win another game to stay in the seat or win 75% of his remaining games and make finals?
How can you plan and operate a footy side and club around a week to week proposition of not knowing if the head coach will be there in 7 days and how could a coach effectively operate under that sort of pressure and scrutiny.
Seems more plausible club have already made the decision and JD is gone regardless. Souths just extended him too, what a waste of money even if the payout is limited to 9 months.
