Yeah thought crossed my mind, it also might see a few other players lift more as they wont be able to rely on Latrell , not that he's been producing but I do think the mindset of some players is to rely on someone else to do the hard work.

Plus with the rumours of JD getting the boot if they lose the players might turn up for him too, assuming they want him to stay ?
Even if the Rabbits win this weekend, they then play Melbourne and Penrith... they might as well sack him now.

This game kinda worries me.

Need to go into it focussed, none of that **** like the tigers game.

Souths going to get a rocket this week
Yep, uncannily like the pre tigers game feeling.... and we cmg off a bye. Is Finucane and BHU back for this? Bunnies forwards be frothing for this game.

The Bunnies forwards haven’t frothed for the best part of a year - but you are right - this will be the week they do ..

You'd bench Nikora? Or just easier to write them next to who you crossed out?
I’m naming him in the 16.

You’ve got the option of a late change.

He is also coming back from a suspension, and we are last start winners.

Both options covered.

Fair enough. Personally, for me, Nikora is one of our top 5, arguably top 3 players when fit. I'd have him as a walk-up start anytime he's available. I don't see Fitz putting him on the bench either.

You'd only do that if he was out for a long period of time. No chance it happens this week.

And I wouldn't put Talakai in the forwards either. Iro gets to sit on the bench or watch the action from the coaches box.

Fitzgibbon guards against complacency

Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon will earn his money this week if the Sharks get up against the Bunnies on Saturday night. The Rabbitohs are currently at the bottom of the ladder and in total disarray with all the talk about their stars not firing. All the talk is about their coach on his last legs and the Latrell factor is also not getting them any good headlines.

But coach Fitzgibbon knows about the dangers of this game. “A few weeks back we went to Leichhardt Oval and got beaten by the Tigers, a game we were expected to win. We can’t let that happen again.”

Star winger Ronaldo Mulitalo was equally determined. “We let our fans down that night. We knew it would be a tough game and we just didn’t play well. We needed to give the Tigers more respect.”

It will be a sure thing that Fitzgibbon will have his troops better prepared for this clash, it would be totally embarrassing to lose to the Rabbits given their current predicament. He pointed towards the slow starts his side have had recently, the most recent game against the Raiders a prime example. He is determined that this does not happen on Saturday night.

Second rower Briton Nikora will return for the Sharks after serving his two-match suspension and there is talk that Royce Hunt and Braden Hamlin-Uele will also make their returns. This may mean that Sifa Talakai may return to the centres, pushing out Kayal Iro who had a very solid game against the Raiders.

“It’s a difficult but good position to be in,” Fitzgibbon conceded. “It is hard that some blokes will have to miss out but it is good for our depth. I am confident that the side we put out on Saturday night will get the job done.”

It is assumed that rookie Jye Gray will take Latrell Mitchell’s spot after the latter agreed to a 3 week suspension for his elbow to the jaw of Shaun Johnson.
