The crowd was there to watch a team that was heading into the finals.

You want atmosphere?

WIN.

i will ask you a question Matty, how are the club going to get 19k to a home game on the back of a 3 game losing streak? that is the question that needs answering, not what silly chants can we make aimed at kids

Maybe You cant bring a big crowd after a 3 game losing streak.

Maybe you need to advertise it and make people want to go to the game and be at the game coz they love the environment atmosphere
But a good vocal crowd could help the momentum of a game . More like the 18th player.
This is why I come to Everyone here as value your input.

Rugby league crowds are more reactive, if the teams winning or there's a lot riding on the game the atmosphere will be great.

I appreciate those that want this atmosphere every game but it can't be forced.

the bbq is a fantastic idea as long as it is not named after a wank

its not hard to comprehend

Its not, but fitz didnt make good points regarding the health and safety aspects.

But a few bbqs set up round the ground pumpin out sangas is a good idea.

good point, our marketing is **** house

again, a good vocal crowd can not be manufactured

the club needs to get in touch with the supporters of the club more actively, not by making a crappy chant and blasting it over the pa

1. I don't know the answer at all. There is a way but I don't know.
2. They need to step up on this one.
3. This is what they are trying to do. We said it not making crappy chants.

If you want to help and be apart of this thing we are working on. Drop me a message and see what I can do.

Unfortunately league isn't the kind of game where a crowd will be able to create an atmosphere for the full 80 minutes.

Perhaps it's worth trying what other clubs do and play chants over the PA at pivotal points aka team is inside opposition 20. Souths, tigers and eels do this.

I know a lot of people wouldn't like it one bit, but at least it'd be better than listening to Mark Warren all game.

Build the core group who turn up week after week, rain/hail/trashing to somewhere well above about 14k. At the moment its probably more like 8-9k. From there you add maybe 50% fairweather types. To do that, you need facilities that can cope with that many - covered seating, more toilets and food/beverage access points. Better viewing conditions - closer and higher - would help enormously too.

Improving the Stadium will be almost as a big a challenge as the development was if we want to keep playing out of the Shire and not at the SFS.

I agree AB. Unfortunately I think it's unattainable without an A League team playing out of the ground so let's hope that eventuates.

The NRL wont be getting crowds to justify all Sydney games at the SFS/ANZ for at least another 50 years, if ever.

The ambitions for NRL crowds are truly pie in the sky stuff.
