i dont think he does. I was dirty when we sacked him, but in reality, if we didnt, 6 months later he woulda ****ed up again anyway.

Carneys ****ed, his legs have been worse than Gagan and if he comes back to Sydney, his life will go down the ****ter.

Can anyone tell me if we have to negotiate a release from Catalans (ie compensation) does that **** with our salary cap?

I know he was off the rails... But to flick the bloke within 24 hours of the story breaking. Really shows what a circus we were.... he may well have deserved the sack... But no way in the wide world another professional run club would have acted so hastily and also what now seens to be unlawfully in expelling its marque player.... That being said he ain't needed now

Thats the whole issue mate.

Keogh talked about it after the hearing. The due process wasnt stuck to, which is where the wrongful dismissal came from, not the actions that caused it. 1 way or another they were going to sack him.

this is the thing that really sucks, having to potentially pay out the remainder of his original contract - or a settlement. So yeah, he ****ed up but so did Keogh and Noyce in dismissing him in the manner they did.

Unfair dismissal im pretty sure would have a capped pay out and it wouldnt be near 3 years of his old deal.

Reports are that Catalans have signed glen Stewart on a 3 year deal.

Should have a good team next year, half of it are former nrl players lol

Souths are making a big move on Marty Taupau KAPOW Would really really love us to do the same he is a Harmen with plenty of controlled aggression.it is what we are lacking and really need he would add the Fear Factore

He would look great in the Black white and Blue

Just in terms of physique profiling - how close do you think ASADA are keeping a very close eye on Tapau?

Of course, it may be 100% "natural" but you'd have to suspect that they would have him flagged.

Have thought the same.

I remember one of the newspaper horribles hinting at a player spending time in South East Asia during the offseason and coming back a lot bigger.

I can't source the quote unfortunately because it was a while back.

His arms are bloody enormous, probably the size of my thighs! Still, not sure what they can do other than regular testing. You would have to be extremely stupid to take this risk these days.

Not saying that any players do it but you'd think it'd be possible to bulk up in a nearby country during the offseason and retain a fair bit of the muscle mass after you return and the 'roids are no longer detectable.
