Egg, I reckon you're the kinda guy who could throw a stack of $100 notes of the top floor of a 30 storey building and not worry because you believe you'll pick them up somewhere else the next day.

Not at all .
Watch , support and embrace .
We'll do just fine .
KEEP the Faith

Wish I was as optimistic haha . Can't see us getting past week 2 at the very best. Before today's game I thought we could make the prelims even the GF but our poor halves, lack of structure and attacking flare along with our inexperienced young guns it really showed today how far off we are . Its not our year ..... Next year looks good though

Manly are top 4 side that stuffed up .
I'd play 110% if I was them with nothing to loose , against hated rival. . Most teams would have lost today
Its not bad to feel pain today , in fact it could be a blessing .
Go Sharks 4 from 4 now on .

Most teams with as much possession and opportunity as we had would not have lost that's the problem :(

Fully understand mate .
But it's game on next weekend .
Bet your missus and/or the house on us to progress further after next weekend .
Everyone should put the wrist slits away .
We lost...NOT the end of the world .

We'll beat the bunnies and then my guess is we play the cows in QLD. We go alright up there and they've got some injuries. I reckon we'll get two weeks in.

Having calmed down from this morning's loss (I'm in London)- I have regained a touch of perspective. Still hugely disappointing that we couldn't get the job done when we needed to most but isn't the end of the world. Huge effort from the boys to bounce back after last year and we were a tad unlucky in some moments today.

Bunnies have been all sorts of awful lately without Luke and Sutton and if we can snag a win we will most likely face Cows in week 2 which is also a decent result for us. If we'd made 4th spot and lost to the red hot Roosters we'd be playing the bloody storm in week 2 and god knows that's not what we want so maybe a blessing in disguise-add to that the advantage of keeping momentum throughout the finals series and how valuable that can be- just look at 2008, the week off killed our momentum.

We need to work on a lot and if we tell Gal to pull his stupid fat head in and play like we know we can we can still be a force in the finals.

UP UP you bloody nightmare of a team.

We were dog ****.

We attacked their line all night and came up with **** all. Robson has absolutely nothing he never gets a defender nervous. Our forwards just tried to barge over all night, or theyd just cut out to feki and hope for the best.

A few disallowed tries was a shame, Ennis' coulda gone either way and it was yet another try decided based on ref guessing. I dunno how the last manly try didnt get looked at no way can a forward intercept a pass without being off side

Was looking like roosters then storm, now all going our way Souths then prob cows, Either way was going to be real tuff. The game we served up yesterday was always going to happen at some point in the finals, so I'm hoping its out of our system now and we can move forward against a busted bunnies with the addition of a fit fifs and hopefully barba. I'm still buoyed by how far we have come this year, the little gems in val and birdy we dug up, also the skill set heading our way next year, so would really love a win to give those boys a taste of finals footy...but we must learn pressure has to equal points, self doubt sets in when we can't convert our chances, and some take it upon themselves to try and turn the tide without realising they are half the reason our attack has stifled.

Yes Horo was off side but the biggest problem we have is there is no plan B when things are not going our way. Every thing to play for and we dish that crap up in front of 19,000.

Our Defense was solid ( Manly Too ) so apart from one offside intercept try against the run of play and Lewis getting carried backwards for another Manly try , we pretty much held them out .Fifita x 2 if fit will do wonders in attack next week and provide more go forward .All not lost .

Two things stand out for me.

First their first try was so soft, and that's the third time in 3 weeks we have let in one like that (alvaro last week, tapau he week before). Even bromich against the storm too. If we can't get points on the board we sure as **** need to tighten up our defence.

Second we attacked the left all night. Not sure if this was the plan because Lyon was out, but feki almost got thrown into touch many times, Gordon kept chiming in and running it sideways. We didn't look that likely to go in despite wades barge over. When we shifted right, beale looked dangerous every time but we barely went there. I swear Holmes touched it at most 3 times in an attacking position and he's been our top try scorer. Go figure.

Needed that win, not that it's now impossible, but it really let the wind out of our sails.

Does anyone else just get a vibe from very early in the match where you just know when we are/aren't going to win?

It never felt like we were going to win yesterday.
