Do any of you actually think that the Fifita's aren't massive ********s and probably did everything they are accused of? They have every reason to water down what happened. But the amateur officials are way more likely to tell it like it is. Police are professional observers and I'd suggest old mates account of what happened is a lot closer than those two fat grubs. I'm not even sticking up for him because he's a Cop, I don't even know the bloke. But Andrew Fifita has proven the kind of bloke he really is in recent times so I have no sympathy for him whatsoever.

Problem is, we need him on the field.

Not at the expense of our image. It just blows my mind that they would put themselves and the club in this position. I'm sick of conspiracy theories and what not. The problem with the NRL and the general community is the total lack of accountability for personal actions and choices.

Agree with this BUT

There is some interesting posts on FB from someone who claims to have been there and says at no time were the Fifitas threatening and in fact accuses the referee of being a smartass about the incident . Don't know how true but its out there in the public domain ................

No they made it very clear that SKD was not stood down by the Roosters or the NRL and would be playing if he felt up to it.
and this is why I have a problem with why we stood him down.

Maybe I didn't notice it as it wasn't sharks news but I can't recall this much outrage over the skd situation

I don't think this will end up being about morality. It's a witch hunt, we even have some of the more respected media commentators from SMH coming out and saying that they should be "made an example of", which is a ludicrous comment against all reasonable sense and judgement, but we need to face facts - This is how people are, they want Fifita blood.

The morality about "the ref's penalty decisions always being right" is completely different to an allegation that the ref was ignoring his duty of care to an injured player; They are completely different triggers to the alleged abuse. But it won't matter in the slightest. There is still an allegation of abuse.
at worse both Fifita boys confronted a match official inappropriately. Regardless oif whether they swore or threatened, this is NOT ON! I am a ground manager at my kids club, if they did this to me, I dont know how I would have reacted? It is pure intimidation. There were a lot of kids around watching this. One of them my niece who had to experience the language. They are both morons who clearly have no idea about how to handle themselves in the public eye. So the only option i say is to get them away from the public eye! this is the 3rd strike for A Fifita. Goodbye

it is when you consider the difference in allegations between the two situations.
SKD is facing serious criminal charges and real possibility of going to gaol as a result. As I understand it, in this situation the media have to stick with the facts and be careful not to prejudice any possible criminal trial. Andrew Fifita is in a lot of trouble in league terms, but he is not facing any criminal charges.

Maybe.

But there's always a lot of ill-feeling and resentment around A Grade rivalries. **** gets heated.

Who are these amateur officials and what is their credibility like? I've no idea. I do know a lot of people who have been involved in Junior League that are less than credible though. They might be the salt of the earth or they might be scoundrels. I don't know, it's up to someone to sort it out the likely chain of events.

Did the souths bloke get a conviction? What was his punishment? Serious questions not taking the piss.

Well we know what the Fifita's are like don't we. On the balance of probabilities I know what version sounds more likely.
