Didn't play on the weekend, not sure if injured, suspended or out of favour. He's got a big boot but I've never rated him. I'm pretty sure he trained with the top squad in the pre season but could be wrong there.

Yeah Cornish got dropped to NSW cup. His contract ends at the end of this season as well.

Hopefully it continues and we get in his ear, haven't watched every minute of the raiders games but from what I have seen he certainly has looked good for such a rookie.

Surely we can offer him a contract too good to refuse.

I don't know if we need another rookie half. Its great to have 'em, but we've shown a reluctance to give the one's we've got/had a fair crack. Nothing says to me that a bloke like Cornish wouldn't just wallow away alongside Murphy at the Jets.

We're buyers, not developers.

The Roosters are no closer to coming to an agreement with off-contract five-eighth James Maloney who is being shopped around for $750,000-a-year.
Club supremo Nick Politis is a massive fan of rookie Jackson Hastings and sees him as a long term No6 outside of Mitchell Pearce.

But Maloney will struggle to get his asking price from rival clubs - even though he is one of the form playmakers of the early rounds.

I hope we use Cherry-Evans money to get 2 halves next year. I think Hodko and Maloney would be expensive, so get one, and then make Sezer a fair offer and upgrade it as the seasons go buy and his performances get better.
