This tournament was the beginning of our downfall.

not really. we had 1 genuine injury out of it. But Carney wasnt right to play if you ask me. We shouldnt have sent so many of our 1-17 there.

Like i said above, with some of the under 20s guys thrown in, a few live wire reserves and some of our younger first graders we'd be right.

I dont wanna see Fifita, Gallen, Lewis, Graham or Gordon sent over there. Although Gordon could cause some real damage in this comp

If carney put his recovery as a priority it wouldnt have been such a disaster. If nobody remembers, the mate of Carneys punching those blokes on a night out happened when he was injured. He didnt take his injuries and recovery seriously. He tore his hammy and missed our last game of the season, then probably got on the piss most the off season rendering half the work he did on the hammy useless. Not wonder it kept getting injured……3 times (9's, Penrith game, Tigers game).

However we were the only team to basically send our top 17 over…..and didnt win. Thanks Stapo for your quick tap ya dope

Wasn't that Gards that did the quick tap and got taken into touch?

The team I would send to Auckland nines would include: Holmes, Addo-Carr, Jadyen Clarke, Brown, Both Fifi Brothers, Potini, Gagan, Bird, Arona, Feki, Penani (if we still have him) and tags. Would keep gal, Lewis, toups and other old players away from the tournament (to keep injuries down)

i wouldnt send Fifita myself, only for injury prevention. Sopoaga would go alright over there again. This is the good thing about the 2014 is now coming into the 9s, our teams probably has the most NRL experienced young guys. Would be happy for Gordon to go i guess, because his support play would be pretty dangerous.

Gordon, Gardner, Holmes
Feki, Gagan, Portlock, Bird, Ayshford (with an injury scoring the tournament winning try) Addo-Carr
Brown, Poon (if he is still here) Clarke, Dietz
Roqica, Arona, D Fifita, Masima
Sopoaga, Heighno, Toupo (would kill it), Sorenson

Dont send Gal, Fifita, Graham, Ennis, Robbo (too much footy for one old man), Lewis

Isn't there some sort of restriction that you have to have at least one of your top 5 players (salary wise) in your squad?

That jersey looks a bit of a mess, should have put the blue in the middle and had less white. It is quite a change from last year's traditional style. In saying that, I don't mind it and I'm warming to it. I'm glad we've gone for a different jersey as well, as great as 2014's one was.
