SHARKS:

New contracts: Andrew Fifita (2018), Wade Graham (2017), Jacob Gagan (2016), Valentine Holmes (2017), Sosaia Feki (2017), Fa’amanu Brown (2017), David Fifita (2016)

Future to be decided: Tinirau Arona, Jonathan Wright, Bryce Gibbs, Tim Robinson, Junior Roqica, Tupou Sopoaga, Scott Sorenson, Siosaia Vave, Nathan Gardner, Reece Davidson, Eric Grothe, Daniel Holdsworth, Penani Manumalealii, Sione Masima, Mark Mexico, Michael Morris, Pat Politoni, Patrice Siolo

We need to get Pat Politini signed up long term ASAP. He would be an excellent utility bench player in 2015 with the potential to be our gun hooker (replacing Ennis after 2015). In 2016 Ennis won't be able to do 80 minutes due to the intensity of the game. - The ideal apprenticeship for a future star.

...oh wait - this is Cronulla...

I'd like to see him retained if we can, but I reckon the plan will be to have Ennis doing the full 80. In that case, he may go elsewhere in search of opportunity. Can't blame him if he gets it. We need a back-up though.

I have no doubt Ennis will go 80 mins in 2015 (if he remains injury free) based on current form, but it is in 2016 that I think Ennis will be in the twilight of his career and will need to drop some minutes to keep up with the young ones. This is where Pat Politini steps up as hooker. Before this (in 2015) Pat can play utility - lock or five-eighth off the bench as well as hooker when needed.

I'm hoping Brailey and or Deitz have stepped up to the plate and are ready to go for 2016
