Hope all the crew who ventured down to Melbourne to watch that debacle go out and have a top night anyway. You deserve it. If you happen to find yourself in a famous gentlemens club please look for my phone! Cheers

We are getting a pasting on the Live NRL blog covering this game - not that we don't deserve it but it still ****s me
Yes we know the spoon is coming our way, get the **** over it and enjoy your saints and bunnies teams falling short in the finals

At least our players get a longer pre-season now

Scoring a try was a victory in itself... Plenty of positive to build on.

Now time to get ready for the Spoon Grand Final against Ricky's Raiders.

Won't matter, we will still choke bad in games like this, it's the Sharkies way. I'm not confident the Sharks will ever get to the level a team (albeit a cheating one) like the Storm have and therefore be able to actually compete in the big games at the business end. Storms season on the line and ofcourse they turn it on, we have made them look better by being crap but quality sides know how to win games. We have zero plan on how to win games, I don't care who the **** superstars we sign or how perfect our off field situation might be

And I am over the injury excuses this year because while that has a massive impact on a NRL's team ability to perform even with a full strength squad we would be getting embarrassed every week
So little of that is true aside from the bit about the sharkies way. I get that. They're a brutal club to follow. Only last year we were one of the best teams in the comp only just losing to the eventual runners up. Last year, when we had a coach, a marquee player, and minimal injuries. It's not rocket science.

The most disappointing aspect is that Ayshford had a run over some other young forward who may have benefitted from the experience of playing a first grade game. I know our NYC is going poorly but surely there is one of those young blokes who is better option than Ayshford.

Everything I said is true - yes last season was a good one for us and we got close but I am not referring to season 2013

The game has past us by this season very quickly and even a full strength squad still has a useless structure, no game plan, is still filled with nuffies and a marque in Carney who was as bad as often as he was good & a head coach in Flanno who has no grasp of adaptability and change management. Snowman has already said enough about ASADA not being an excuse for this team anymore.

Season 2013 was a false dawn if ever and I am just now starting to accept that

Does this mean there is no hope and that I am not looking forward to season 2015 and all the potential positives that could come with it? Of course not.
However it does not change the fact that all the excuses aside as of 2014 we are poo and the majority of the blokes on the sideline would not be changing the outcomes of games for us

Its the same reason parra and tigers were on the bottom last year. Injuries.

If we had a healthy 90% of the squad we'd have been in that fight for 7/8 places
oh **** off, they were at the bottom last year because they were ****house, just like us this year

Our grind em out flat style aint fooling nobody anymore

Smith and Slater tore us to pieces in that first half. I can't wait for those guys to retire, I'm sick to death of them. We did OK to prevent total humiliation in the first 30 minutes of the second half, but in the end, we are way off the pace.

I found it interesting that Melbourne came out and started kicking on the third in the second half. I felt we gained the ascendency from that tactic and got our **** together off the back of that tactic. I hate kicking on the third as a tactic, unless used as a surprise.
