So put a line through Ben Hunt with Benny off to the Broncos no way he comes down to play under Flanno. DCE won't come across either so it's down to the average halves for us.

If broncos get dce, then with milford, barba, thaiday, hodges, parker and potentially dce, they could never possibly keep hunt. They are already being investigated for cap rorts.

So have the rules changed regarding when you can sign a player? Reports say clubs can't sign a player for 2016 until November of this year. I remember Easts signed Maloney before the 2011 GF for the 2013 season.

Nope they announced the signing at the end of Nov

They won't go for DCE imo. They have enough talent to win the comp without him.

The cap rort Roy Masters reported was only a $300k payment from the Broncos leagues club to top up third party payments. It's not that much more then what we got done for - for Paul Gallen's third party deals.

This is why I'm still holding out a slight, microscopic hope we can get Hunt for next season, if they get done for the cap, we'd be glad to step in and help by taking the burden of Ben Hunt off their hands.

Nope, has to be November, but teams are still rorting the system. Pointless.

Yep, as has been mentioned the past few pages, it's probably bad news regarding the Hunt situation; Bennett is one that likes keep the halves he has at his disposal rather than looking for marquee halves, so based on that history I'd be surprised if Brisbane go seriously at DCE now.

That said, perhaps Hunt was a big fan of Griffin and might be a bit pissed (Hopefully non-Carney style) that Griffin is goneskies, since he did get his big opportunity from him... But that's probably grasping at straws.

I don't give two craps about the Broncos, but I will say I think Griffin has been pretty hardy done by.

I've said it before, but I think the game is passing Bennett by, happens to all coaches. I'd love to see those pricks fail miserably.

Griffin's win percentage over his coaching career would be at less than 50%, so with a team like the Broncos that's well below the standard they'd be looking at.

He also made some "odd" decisions for team selections; This year playing Parker on limited minutes at prop instead of the full 80 at lock just seems ludicrous to me.

Its so they can fit Thaiday, Glenn and Gillett in the back row.

Raiders Sign Sisa Waqa

The Canberra Raiders are pleased to announce the signing of Melbourne Storm winger Sisa Waqa for two seasons commencing in 2015. Waqa made his NRL debut for the Roosters in 2009 and has since played over 60 NRL matches, scoring 35 tries. He also represented his native Fiji at the 2013 rugby league World Cup.
Canberra Raiders CEO Don Furner said the Raiders were thrilled to have Waqa sign on for the next two seasons and said he would be a great addition to the Raiders backline.
“Sisa is an experienced player with an outstanding try scoring rate and we are excited about him joining our club in 2015,” Furner said. “We’re looking forward to him being with the club for the next two years and wish him all the best for the remainder of his time at the Melbourne Storm.

Yeah, I know the reasoning, it's just bad reasoning. Playing the best player out of position on limited minutes when he could have just chucked Thaiday or Hannant as a starting prop.

Geez Melbourne are starting to shed some players, Waqa and Glasby today, Garbutt last week, probably Hampton and Roberts, let's not forget Hoffman. Sure most of them are fringe first graders, but so far, just Blake Green coming in. Salary cap finally catching up with them?
