Remember also how a player would play reserve grade and often back up for first grade if there was a late withdrawal?

Remember the day Barry Russell scored 5 tries in reserve grade?

The kids lining up along the fence with 5 minutes to go to rumble for the corner post?

running on the field after full time siren, scoring under the posts getting the red winfield cup logo paint all over the front of our jerseys and
getting in trouble of mum when we got home cause it would stain them,

Mate my best shark park memory (i think it was 1999) vs canberra. Torrential rain. My uncle has a box up top and we decided to go down the ground to kick footys around. Then the rain started so we left to go back to the terrace but couldnt get into the club (we were 12 or 13) so had to whether the rain. No ponchos left at the merch van, so we got given a bunch of bags to wear. We smashed em that night. Went home and watched the replay on fox.

Without being a smart arse that wasn't obvious to me.

i wasnt being a smart arse, just more, pumping the tyres of our old, successful chairman, who got runs on the board

Surely not S2...D.I only did bad things to our club

i know right... the horrible beast actually got us a front of jersey sponsor... he was so horrible to work his fingers to the bone to get the development over the line

the guy was an ogre, finding ways to become a self sufficient money making football club!

i am thankful we have hi end business men asking fans for sponsors running our club now

I was in the PB stand a year or two ago. I sat in front of a guy with a disability who, while admirable in his love for the sharks, never failed to smack the back of my head with his flag. I don't regret living the high life over in ET, especially when it rains!

That clip does nothing for us in terms of membership and attracting the right attention. Good in theory though.

I get what you're saying, he isn't a nobody on youtube, that's for sure. He's lip-synched with Katy Perry etc, I get that.

But how many people go "mate, remember when Keenan killed it miming our anthem? **** turned around for us after that, everyone knew about us" ? In fact, and no disrespect to the boy because he obviously has health issues, but that video is mocked big time, mostly because people are ********s and would rather mock a spastic with a funny way of moving than applaud his energy and outlook.

The gesture was well intended, but I don't think you could quantify much of an outcome from it.

Most of the views were probably in the US though. Certainly not a bad thing but I doubt the exposure did much good.

Yeah mate happened when we were sponsored by Powers I think it was. A guy walked around the PB Stand (probably other areas in the ground as well) selling beer. Poured it straight into your cup, didn't have to move. Don't think it would be allowed these days.
They had people doing that at fulhams home ground when I watched 2 premier league games there in 2011
