A couple of points on the Coaching topic - apologies if this has already been mentioned and discussed.

It is my understanding that the PLAYERS didn't want Kimmorley as interim Coach. If this is true and correct, this is the root of the problem, we have a player run Club.

Whilst Sharp has indicated he does not and did not seek the position of Head Coach, he has been quoted as saying that he is the best man for the job. I respectfully disagree with those who say that because of the money he is paid he shouldn't be assessed so critically. When you are a professional coach, winning is everything in a results driven business. It doesn't matter how much your are earning if you don't get results, you shouldn't stay in a job.

From an on field perspective, I think the late rule changes have had some impact on our style of play and the inability to cope with the quicker play the balls.

My view is we are 2 or 3 games behind where we really should be. We shouldn't have lost to the Titans, St George and possibly Parramatta. The other results I think could have well been considered as losses but not the blowouts particularly Canterbury and Newcastle.

A couple of away wins can get the team back on track - only if they are determined to do so themselves.

it was 2 players that didnt want noddy, not the entire group

It would be hard to be coached by someone you played with.

and thats where i reckon browny failed over here...

but on our boys, only gal and de gois would have had that issue, and Noddy has floated around the origin scene since his retirement, so i doubt gal had a problem

gal and de gois werent the issue

Its all academic now but I think Noddy has always been coach material and he is a fighter - 2008 he busted his guts for us he was always the first one down on the kick chase - so he would have had the right stuff to at least push the boys.

I think he may have also pushed Flanno out of a job.

Yes, but he was not a winner in Stickwit's world.

We had to trade him in for Barrett.

Kicking the ball dead/caught in goal is one of the most damaging things you can do it attack to yourself short of a penalty. Zero tackle from a 20 meter restart......robbo putting up bombs or deep grubbers, would be better off running the ball and being tackled a meter short. Tackle 1 from there. We're losing the metre game this yeR

you're right just keep the grubbers shallow and try and tackle them in goal rather then trying to force them to put it dead or take the tackle or give it to the wingers and even if they get taken out over the sidelines on 5th tackle its a scrum from the 10 rather then 20 meter zero tackle.
