I thought Gibbs and Gordon were our best.
Gordon is creating more and more. Good to see considering people don't rate him as a ball player. Had 1 ripper no look pass and the grubber in the corner.
Lichaa did well too. Just had no opportunities to create in attack. Heaps better option than De Gois.

Thats the thing i dont understand.

We could of been pumped and played de gois, but we got pumped and at least gave a young kid a go.

Problem is.
Should have debuted last year.
All those nothing games against rubbish opposition.
Easily could have blooded him then.
And given the taste of first grade we might have been in a better retention position.

How good was Thompson's try? He's unsigned for next year, lives in Cronulla, snap him up.

Catch and put the ball down. He should of put his body on the line when sam perrett took the grubber out of play.
He is pathetic.

Agreed - our 1-5 weren't responsible.

You have NFI about League...

Leutele made some minor mistakes, but was placed in hopeless situations for most of the game.

Of course Wright was targeted... I wonder why?

Ayshford had a mixed bag tonight - don't rate him, but he aint responsible.

Our forwards were pathetic tonight, Graham excluded.

So you took the easy target instead od responding to a constructive post.

Simple we had no pill they had all the ball and go forward, we will always struggle out wide, esp as leutele was coming in all the time to help penani who was targeted all game defensively. Cant really read into this one sided game. Stick by the boys they will get there...

Leutele has to go, atleast until he finds his feet again, rushed passes, bad lines, consistently going wandering on defense, i know he has lighting footwork and CAN find the line, but the problem is he isn't, until he finds some form it's back to ressies for him

Gagan in, Wright to the vacant centre spot which coincidentally the only position on the part where he isn't entirely useless as a footballer

If Gordon isn't going to pass the ball on those backline plays then he needs to be sent back to the wing for the time being, i love flash but a non ball-playing fullback doesn't cut it in this day and age

Lich and Difita to stay, both earnt their slots next week

More Arona, Gibbs and Tagatese...like what the hell, they were our strongest along with Wade at the start of the game and then they were hooked for 50 minutes to make space for Prior who is average at best and Heighno who is coming back from injury

Every game last year was crucial. We flogged maybe 2 teams in all our wins.

He was injured alot last year and was blooded later in the year in NSW cup, at this point wins were vital to make the Top 6. For mine I'm ok with him not debuting last year, and to be honest I didnt' think he'd get a start in Rd2 so I'm more than happy in when he has debuted. Sure if he wasn't injured he could of snagged a few games early in the year.

Feki is the Hurrell that can defend. We need to get him in the centres somehow. Ricky had to come in all night to cover, leaving a huge hole on the outside, there was nobody sliding.Maybe they could fix it up with minders and a lot of defencive drills.

Oh and l am going to put more money on the dogs to get the spoon.Their attack against a disfunctional team looked great and also their defence but it won't cut the mustard against too many other fully fit teams

That Reynold punch on Wade before halftime was a bit girly, what a little bitch, dummy spits and all.

Our problem is our lack of structure and game plan. This happens every week, even when our good players are in. It's just hidden a bit because our first team can generally defend better. We don't ask questions of the opposition defence at all and they are fresh, both physically and mentally, when they turn around and run at us.

It’s a completely rabble. When we get into an attacking position no one knows what’s happening. Do we have ANY set moves? Do we even practice? We have 13 blokes running around and knocking into each other like those barking toy dogs at the market. It's like they are just counting down the tackles so they can put in a stupid kick and get back to defending.

These Monday night away game floggings are becoming semi-regular too. Even with our good team. We don't seem to be switched on for them for some reason.

havent read through the pages yet...

my take on the game, i never expected to win.

when you have 1000+ games of experience on the sideline, it was always going to be tough.

what the upside for me was, we got belted blooding young kids, rather than getting belted with the old horses.

thought penani bounced back well after a shakey start, why they kept giving the ball to holdsworth on the 5th tackle had me stuffed. he just looks like a jeff robson clone.

michael lichaa defended well, so i now have no doubt he had a niggling injury in the trial that saw him be completely allergic to contact with players. he did well. the fact our forward pack got dominated made his running game null and void.

thought that was michael gordons worst game for us. fair enough he copped a wicked bounce on ennis try, but he was so far out of position on the grubber it wasnt funny, when the ball got spread he stopped chasing, i screamed at the bloke sitting next to me that a grubber would kill us and it did. i would look to put him on the wing and beg the nrl for a concession to put holmes in grade.

jono wright has to go. he isnt a first grader. even if it means stapo gets in the team, at least stapo can catch and run forward.

the best player in the opening 2 rounds for me has been Arona. he looks to get involved and play before the line. very astute pickup.

dont think there needs to be too much dive into a concrete pool head first.

give us a full strength team against them, with the best part of their forward pack out, and their halves combo out and we put 40 on them.

Very disappointing game from our boys we were never in it.

A loss is to be expected with that injury/suspension toll but make some form of game of it.

Our halves were horrible but anyone thinking Robbo would have done any better last night is kidding themselves.

Our halves and backs never had any space and even with our players back we are going to get flogged by most teams if we play the structure we have the last two rounds.

On the up side a few boys tried their heart out (some still played poorly dispite of it) but it's good to see the determination of Graham/Feki/Gordon/Taga/Arona/Gibbs, they all busted their arses last night.

Penani was disappointing but still a better option than having Graham or Morris in the halves.

Lichaa was disappointing but still a better option than DeGois.

D. Fifita tried his heart out and I wouldn't be disappointed to see him stay in the side but can understand if he doesn't.

We lacked organization in the halves which is something Robbo brings, would it have changed the scoreline? probably not.

I was watching the game with my old man and one of the main gripes with Holdsworth is he never takes on the line, he is a simple catch and pass half which makes our backline easy to read.

Gibbs and Prior on report, Gibbs nothing in it didn't see Prior's shot.

Lichaa has potential but he didn't show he has 300k worth of potential, in saying that this was against a very forward dominant team.

Our only try Gordons pass was about 2 metres forward.

Agree with all of the above.

Next week:

1. Holmes
2. Ryan
3. Feki
4. Leutele
5. Gordon

Looking at the positives on a rather bleak night I was surprised that our wingers received the ball on the wing sometimes rather than the
normal Cronulla winger role of late which is to ruck it out of our own quarter or go from dummy half. I thought Licha looked quite sharp and
the debutants brought some energy to the side. The boys tried in defense but we had nothing in attack. The kicking game was also
an improvement as we actually challenged for the ball on occasions. The biggest problem I see is that I don't think Canterbury were that good.
What will happen this weekend?

I got hounded for saying pretty much the exact same points.

Flash was ordinary at best and Wright is the worst back in the game.
