This is off the topic of the Sharks so i am expecting a barrage of butt-hurt-ness to follow my post, but whatever...

Nathan Has been playing out of his boots for the past two years. Over 200 games experience & with the injuries to Brett Morris & Brett Stewart it is looking more likely he will get that elusive blues jersey, he has been chasing for so long.
My question is do you think he deserves it?

P.s. if anyone can make this a yes or no Poll it would be appreciated!

2.Merrit
3.Jennings
4.Morris
5. Uate

Despite me being a Queenslander i'll put my opinion on it anyway... Far out he deserves a spot, ever since he left us ive been wishing we kept him, he has been one of the most underrated players for years and one of the most consistent for the Rabbits. He can find the tryline for almost anywhere and he should have been on them wing for NSW for a long time, if he gets the spot i'll be worried about QLD's backline for the first time in years.

He definitely deserves it but it's a gamble. He could score 3 tries, or he could get steamrolled close to the line a few times and concede some as well

No way, origin is defense orientated and he will be well out of his depth. 1 Stewart or Gordon/Mini if unfit, 2 Morris 5 Hayne for me

yeah defensively is the concern, for me he looks out of his depth at this level, great club player but i think this step up is too much. Hayne and Morris on the wings are much safer and imo much better anyway. Id much rather change the fullback to Gordon who i think is much safer and tougher for this type of game

How do you know he looks out of his depth if he hasn't played 1 game at this level ?

I don't think it matters who play's on the wing, QLD unfortunately will win the series 2-1

I think he deserves to have played for NSW. Especially when you consider some of the bums that have played for us (I'm looking at you Quinn).

However I don't think he deserves to be there this year. I'd have Gordon, Hayne and Morris above him atleast.

He has been unlucky to never get the chance and in the end I think it comes down to two things:
a) Our selectors wouldn't know talent if it was given to them.
b) The selectors were worried he wouldn't suit Origin.

Over all no he doesn't but he deserves to have been there in the past. This is dispite the fact that he is arguably playing the best footy of his career.

He deserves a spot but there are better options.

Taufua does the same job and is close to 10 years younger. Is great at making the hard yards aswell. Uate is the same but probably slightly behind taufua.

Gordon gives you an all round wingers game, tryscorer, defensively good, experience and he's good at making the hard yards.

Only the best options deserve the spot. This year he doesn't deserve one.

Taufua and Uate make for a pretty strong wing pair. When they will be playing against Boyd and (who is the other qld winger? since Yow Yeh wont be around again)
