I dont think Dessy is up there with Bellamy and Bennett just yet.

Yeah he has won a couple of comps with Manly, but Toovey could quite easily do the same in the next few years.

Hasler has the chance to join the elite IF he can win with the Dogs this year. But as it stands now - he's only got them to the Prelim Final. Even Kevin Moore got the Dogs to that point, and where is he now?

Toovey is just a bashed up piss wrecked garden gnome, give him an average team and he'd go nowhere

Well that's exactly my point with Dessy.

Manly have a pretty good team ATM.

Getting an ex-Manly legend in there and coaching them the Manly way, might be all they need to be successful.

Anyone that thinks Hasler isn't an elite coach is a complete gronk.

He turns his team into the fittest mob out there and his adjusting game plan is 2nd to none.

Flanagan will always be an average coach. He lacks intelligence and just doesn't seem to be a motivator of men. Most of the great coaches have intensity. Flano doesn't. And he refuses to take any form of risk. Who dares wins anyone?

I rate des higher then belemy and Bennett. Think bennents time is up

Tough call I mean Bennett has developed some of the all time greats. Won 8 premierships im pretty sure. (correct me if I'm wrong) it's only the 2nd time in his career he hasn't made the finals.

Toss up between Bellamy and Hasler.

I think Michael McGuire would suit us pretty good. But Des Hasler would be my pick for sure.

a few coaches are over rated and under rated. i think flanno got our team playing some confident entertaining footy for parts last year and the middle of this year but then we seemed to go back to playing ****. carneys form dissappeared. smith bukuya's form dropped off as did robson. i think form of players reflects the coach and hope next year is different. haslers a miracle worker. but an under rated coach is neil henry. he got raiders playing good footy and then the cowboys.

Blame Carneys performance on origin/injury.
Smith had a huge work load in the absence of Gallen
Bakuya had some injury woes also.

I wouldnt blame Flanno completely for it. Think about it, when we were going well we had 1 key guy out in Gards and Toupo if ya call him a key guy. After origin, players were dropping. Graham, Smith, Bakuya, Carney, Gallen, Gibbs, Ross, Pomeroy. Injury is to blame for our poor final 8 games.

People talk about our "depth" in the back row etc. But when we were missing guys like Smith, Graham and Bakuya, our stand ins did ok, but not the best.
