Ive read a few bits and pieces in here and im not quiet sure if its been mentioned but to the life of me i cannot fathom the decision with 7minutes on the clock why in gods name you take two points when you are leading by two. Yes it took a minute off the clock and so forth but it squanded field position and within two sets the Tigers came marching down field and scored on us. Surely the play was find the sideline, keep the pressure on and look for a repeat set. And if the Try had of come the game was iced. Yes there where a few very ordinary referee calls(expecially the offside rule in GP) but to me this was the turning point in the game and in My books the coach has a lot to answer for for making that call !!!

Yep. A good set of six and a grubber into the in-goal changes the result of that game.

That was a bad decision and a big turning point. The tigers were gone at the point and I reckon we would have scored.
I get where he was coming from, waste a couple minutes, get the ball back, set it up again. Problem is we are no Melbourne Storm
and the last play kickon the set of 6 from the re-start was a poor kick bomb (why) which gave Tigers field position.

A team like the tigers are never dead. You gotta go for it when the opportunities are there.
We had them on the ropes at the point and should of went for the kill.
Another coaching mistake.

1. It wastes the clock.
2. It made it a 4 point game Benji cant kick, so if they did score you are looking at a golden point game.
3. We got the ball back after the kick, so we get 2 points plus another repeat set. And with our momentum we had at that time, you would back us to get about half way and kick the ball over the side line. wasting more clock

Yeah but we didnt do that did we? Like I said we are no Melbourne Storm yet.
2 pt game or a 4pt game. Doesnt make much difference. Marshall had already kicked one from the sideline.
The tigers were gone when we got that penalty. Should have went for the kill. They would have.

I agree we shouldn't have gone for the kick, but IMO it was Gallen's call and he did it because our boys were absolutely nackered. I don't even think it was a tactic to ensure the win, I think we just literally needed the break that bad and Gallen got a bit selfish on behalf of the team.

I thought we had the better of them at that point and I wanted for us to take the tap. But given our inability to close games out, we probably would have dropped the ball on the 2nd tackle and we wouldn't have got any points from it.

We didnt do to bad in getting it down there we just didnt kick it out. Tigers got some lucky breaks there and our defence wasnt so crash hot either. Gardner should of been following the ball and had so much time to be ready for Ryans kick. Yet he was to busy being a cat and lying down for half the game with a cramp

If he had a cramp there really isn't too much he can do. When you cramp up, you can't move, whether you want to or not.

Then someone else should off been fullback. Such I key position at that point to have someone there who can't run if that was the case

i reckon because we live in the Wayne Bennett world of coaching
when he likes to take the 2 points everytime i remember the Broncos, St merge doing it and then the Knights did on Thursday night.

If he wanted a break that bad we should of taken the kick for goal and missed on purpose so we got the ball back still in decent position off the drop out. Wastes a fair bit of time and still can get into attacking teirritory
