I know we've had Matty Johns or a bit of Trent Barrett on the Footy Show, but ET has the black, white and blue flowing through his veins.

If we'd kept Noddy I have no doubt he would have been loyal to us forever more and he's been on TV a fair bit.

It's definitely something we should think about when players are at the end of their careers.

Yes, thats great point.

Take Wendell the wanker as an example.

The dragons have had their investment returned in spades from the talk up he gives them alone. Nevermind his football ability. It was a very smart buy for them really.
And it's one that continues to pay off for them well after he has hung up the boots.

Yeah, only thing is I get the feeling they're paying him to do that. They probably cheated the cap and offered him a multi year deal that only included a small amount of playing time plus a few years of spruiking them up.

Are we looking at a different line-up for each Fox RL program?

Anyway, be great to have a diehard Shark covering League. Someone who can positively promote our Club when the opportunity arises and do it without the accompany self-promotion. If I never hear "the red v is a part of me" again it'll be too soon.

I thought Tallis was very fare to the Sharks most of the time.

He always rated our forwards even before the general public did, and he had some glowing remarks for chad townsend after the titans game.

Tallis's common quip/assessment prior to a sharks game was generally "ya gotta realize guy's , these sharkies will fight over a bone". lol.

Yeah disappointed to hear Tallis is gone I didn't mind him. Not sure how Freeman keeps a job, especially now they've recruited Johns. Surely there is only 1 spot for an ex-half come wannabe comic TV personality on Fox's League broadcasts. And while neither are funny, and I'm sure both know a thing or two about the game, Johns has the upshot of being able to speak coherent English long enough to put his message across.

nah, seriously, you can't just pick that line out and use it to discredit me. my comments in their entirety need to looked at in order to have a context to base your understanding. in the context of my situation, i stand by that statement simply on the grounds that i can't budget in a Sharks membership this year. as stated several times within this thread, i'll get a membership when my circumstances change

I'm sort of with you, I know a lot of people who are passionate about the Sharks and promote us in different ways, without being members. I think membership should be the goal, but it will take a while (and more value as you say) until it makes sense to every supporter.

Moth i agree, If we were Shire residents you ****s would be sick of seeing our faces at the games, we would be the rowdiest 2 there, with the ****ing funniest banners, and full memberships every year. But the fact we both live away from the Shire (and dont for 1 sec think our Heritage isnt that of the Shire) buying a $70 a year membership isnt worth it for either of us, nor is it going to save the Sharks. Funny how a saturday night game can see less than 10,000 fans at the game, 10,000 (inc opp supporters) in what, someone bases an arguement on, that we are the biggest serviced community in sydney that holds an NRL team. Then where the **** are the Sharks die hards?

Guitar strings, he's no nerd. The only reason youd go to games is to get in the dressing rooms and wash under Alberts sack.You spend copious amounts of money per year to satisfy your man crush

Cant get to games, read my post, got mortgage, wedding, kids, not to mention helping run a business (which at times struggles like the Sharks). Its not that i can't afford 70 bucks a season, i can, but theres definately better things i can spend my $70 bucks on than a key ring mate.

$70 is worth it because it supports the club. I'm doing something to make sure my kids will be able to cheer on the team I cheered all my life. Same with there kids.
