I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on here already (sorry if it has), but I'm hearing that Cronulla's very own original superstar Andrew "ET" Ettingshausen will be the new host of Monday Night Football.

Best news I've heard all off season.

Replacing that NRL pretender Ryan Phelan with an NRL legend and all round good guy, how good is MNF gonna be this year!!!!

Thats true, but its always good to have a professional tv face up there too. Which of course ET is aswell as a league legend.

Could you imagine a MNF team of Laurie Daley, Dell, Freeman and Tallis? It would be a dribble fest, can't rag on Ryan Phelan, he was professional in what he did, and added that side to an otherwise opinionated panel

Why can't he do more for the Club? His face should be front and centre on every advertisement and membership drive!

He has done that for us in the past. Gallen is the new face and having Peachey is wonderful as well. ET owes this club nothing he does not need to do anything for us at all.

every opportunity ET had in league was because the Sharks picked him up when he was a junior. he wouldn't have a massive range of ****ty fishing equipment, his own show or a flash house on the water if the Sharks hadn't picked him up. Sure, he could have done it at some other team, but he didn't. The Sharks invested in him as a local junior and it paid dividends for all involved.

Maybe he doesn't "owe" the Sharks anything, but he's a local, a local legend in fact; he has a ****in grandstand named after him. The Sharks are going through some tumultuous times, perhaps a bit of a trusted, old school face could be of benefit. Maybe he could work with our ****ty outside backs. It'd be great to have him around the club the way that Lockyer will no doubt be around Brisbane.

wow, he supplies a photo for an internet advertisement and signs the odd certificate.

nah i'm not a member. i didn't feel there were any members packages that gave me anything of worth considering i'm a pov uni student and live nowhere near a venue i could go to see them play. when they come up with a package of worth, i might consider it. the Shark Net membership, aimed at people who can't get to games: $70 for a lame hat, ****ty bag, key rings, access to a secret part of the website??? no dice. if they put out a membership that included just a members jersey or something that i could hang in the house and priority purchasing to events for maybe $100 then i'd consider it. i don't need all that ugly memorabilia. a membership is a product and if i don't like it, i ain't buyin it.

and i'm sorry princess, i forgot that not being a member revokes the right i have to speak freely on a public forum.

lecture? i made a suggestion. on a public forum.

so if i flushed $70 down the toilet by getting a Shark Net membership, which the club would most likely see about 1/2 of that money after expenses, so say i gave the club $35 i'd be within my rights, in your eyes Jigsaw you ****ing lord of the Sharks, to make my opinion known on a public forum?

i'll say what i want ********. and until the time comes that the Sharks come out with a member package that appeals to me or i have a highly disposable income, i won't be a member.

No offense but you want a members jersey for $100 plus full membership rights to tickets

Your dreaming!!!!! It's a footy club not a flipping charity!

I think your missing his point mate. He (and me too) is regional northern NSW, closest game he would be able to attend is the Gold Coast, which happens once a year.
The non ticketed memberships are pretty pointless, as im sure most would agree, they come with a flurry of dust collectors, why not ditch all that, provide a discounted members jersey and discounted ticketing to up to 5 games for a fee of like $100 bucks, thats not saying a jersey is free.

For the base membership, im better off going and spending 80 bucks in grannie mays and getting key rings and hats and stubby holders galore
