It does put the name out there, just not in a nice way.

But I suppose we get used to negative press/media anyway, as this only makes us stronger.

I liken it like that movie (egyptian type I think) were there is a bugle player on top of the hill, no matter how many times they shot him he still keeps playing all the way to the end.

At least Todd's not going to have to listen to the crowd sing 'Rooster Man' every week, that'd drive me to the brink of drink

or maybe even more people would've seen how **** we were

But thats not going to affect the club negatively. everyone knows we are ****. We've been **** 3 seasons straight. As have plenty of other clubs. Souths havent made the 8 in **** knows how long.

But sponsors want exposure. Do you think people chose Sony tv's over hisense based on how the Sharks played on the weekend? Definately not. jersey sponsors want their brand placed in peoples minds. Not reflected by footy players. Thats where I think LG went wrong, the amount of newspaper coverage we got when they booted us, pics with LG's logo woulda been everywhere

yeh it might help us get sponsors but it ain't gunna win us many fans. maybe people who like to back the underdog will get on board, but even those types usually write us off

until we're an excitement machine playing entertaining footy, then we'll be everyone's 2nd team,

we were well liked during the ET, Matty Rogers, David Peachey, Tawera Nikau era

i wouldnt even be surprised if you were against the deveolpment, we might we seen as the 'bad boys' by shaking up the community hay mothy?
