Agree timber maybe needs more time back at the 20's.
It is a 80min game
Not a 79.50 game he showed no effort to get to the ball.

Bring ricky leutele for wright, he scored 2 tries last night.
I know he plays centers but he is strong and fast.

The thing that disappoints me the most about this whole scenario is the loss of a potentially great opportunity to reinvigorate Sharks fans attendance at home games gets slammed by what can only be described as a gut-wrenching disappointment.

To lose the game in that manner was just awful. The refereeing was completely and utterly disgraceful and I hope the Match Review Committee has the balls to not just sweep it under the carpet and to do an open and frank analysis of the game.

There's one thing I can guarantee you - if that sort of refereeing was to happen against St George, South Sydney, Bulldogs, Melbourne, Broncos or Manly the outrage would be palpable and sprayed across the sports sections of every Newspaper and NRL website around.

Shark Park looked absolutely beautiful full of 15,133 people, the majority of whom decked out in black, white & blue. Great to see so many take on the "Scarf Up - Get Loud" motto.

On the downside though, there was the technical problems with the big screen which were unfortunate and it was a shame not to have the pre-match big screen entertainment unwatchable. It's such a shame because I know how much hard work and effort goes into putting all that together.

We really need to do something about beverage & food queues though ... both inside the Club as well as in the stadium. It's just one of those things that we have to get right.

Good on you Ironshark, a true sharkies legend!

Seriously though, speaking of the George Rose try, it was so forward that did you notice all the guys on the defensive line look towards the refs in anticipation of the call, rather than give all thier attention to tackle the fat piggy?

Wish Flanno had unloaded on those pricks. I would have paid the fine for him if he had said what we were all thinking.

Disgraceful.

That what you are talking about or do you want something more? He can't say much more else he be fined and where's the good in that?

To be honest, I wanted the same thing as Josh here- for him to just unload on them.

I just couldn't help thinking of this game here (and not to mention Greg Hartley):

BORKED

But thankfully Flano held his emotions in check quite a bit better than I did! (Mind you, I was a little :drunk) We can't afford a $10k fine and it wouldn't have done any good anyway.

Thanks for posting SF, the ABC guys usually get the best interviews, I think mostly because the coaches respect the coverage as being fair and Warren Ryan as being a great analyst.

Also, how much have Flano's media skills improved? When he first got the job he was horrible, but he's one of the best spoken coaches in the league now I reckon.

Losing like that hurts. Unfortuantly I think we choked. Apart from a game against an awful Penrith, we haven't put together an 80 minute performance all season, even the Dragons game, we let them back in it and we were lucky to hold on. I left as soon as the last try was scored.

Does anyone know what happened after the game? On the way to our car, around 15 Police cars screamed past us with their sirens blazing and screeched to a stop at the ground. Some Manly smarta** say something?

Totally agree on all that.

It's amazing what a couple of wins and good weather can do for our crowds. I hope all the people that turned up aren't too jaded and come back again next time. There was a buzz around the ground until the final try, I hope that is enough to make people want to come back. It really felt like the place to be last night.

Yeah the food and drink lines need to be fixed. It ruins the game day experience and prevents us from maximising income.

As for the refereeing, totally disgraceful and I'm not sure why nothing has been said about it on TV from what I've seen. They dedicated a large amount of time to the refereeing in the NZ v Roosters game, but not ours. "Oh well, it's only the Sharks"

We can blame the refs all we want, but we should never have let Manly back into the game, the George Rose try was as soft as it gets, even if it was a forward pass, you play to the whistle. Unfortuantly, apart from a game against a very poor Penrith, we have not put together an 80 minute performance yet, not even against St George.

Something in the Leagues Club, but not sure what exactly.

Yeah you hit the nail on the head!!!! We played for 20mins (Raiders) 40mins (Warriors) & 60mins lastnight although our defence was great IMO we still struggled to control the pill in that 2nd half, there was a heap of bad calls yes but we would of won if we finished better after we went up 13 - 0.

Rubbish. I can blame the refereeing and I will.

They should never have received so much help to get down the field too many dubious calls. These rubbish decisions continue to blight us, and I'm fugin sick of this ****.

You can blame the refs and so can I!! but its not going to change anything and all the boys can do is improve on what they can control. Hey I was gutted last week and going F@&kn mental lastnight but we get and are going to continue to get this BS, but if the team improves on there 1 -2 percenters then we will win more then we lose!!!!

We played hard for the full 80 - the refs were the difference.

We let in 2 arsy tries because we'd been flogged to death by poor refereeing giving Manly 1000s of repeat sets of 6. Can't call tries soft in those circumstances. Very few teams can make that many tackles in a row without tiring somewhere.
