Test of character
10/08/2010 6:30:00 PM
Sydney Roosters captain Braith Anasta knows Friday night's trip to Toyota Stadium to face the Cronulla Sharks will be no walk in the park.
Quick to point out one of few blips on the radar this season, the 42-18 hiding the Shire based club handed out almost 10 weeks is one Ansata remembers for all the wrong reasons.

Since then their seasons have gone in vastly different directions.
The Sharks have won just once since the round 13 encounter whereas the Roosters have taken the points in six of their last eight.
The captain is adamant his side’s character will be tested in the face of their first defeat in six matches last Sunday.
“How a team bounces back is always a measure of their character,” Anasta said.
“We weren’t bad against the Dragons but we didn’t play our best. We will have to produce something better to get back on track this Friday.
“People are quick to write off the Sharks but we aren’t buying into it. We saw firsthand what they can dish out earlier in the season and we can’t afford to cop that again,” he said.
Two competition points away from making sure of a finals birth is not something that is worrying the Tricolours camp with four rounds to play.
The bar has now been set higher after recording impressive wins in their first season under coach Brian Smith.
“We want to play finals and we think top four at this stage is a realistic goal,” Anasta stated.
“We dropped a couple of games during the season, which we could have won but the guys have been playing well enough to keep us in the hunt for one of the top few places.
“At the start of the year I wasn’t thinking this far ahead but you always aim to get (to the finals) at the very least. The way we have played this season has surprised some but given the players we had here and new guys that have come in, we feel we deserve our spot,” he said.
Making the faithful proud again has been a highlight of 2010 for the Roosters captain for the duration of his first full season in charge.
However, inflicting a sixth straight home defeat on the Sharks will be a tough ask against 17 players trying to give something back to their loyal followers.
“That makes the test that much harder because we are coming up against a desperate side,” Anasta said of claiming victory at Shark Park.
“That’s when some are at their most dangerous but we need to get going in the right direction and show how bad we want to be in the finals.
“They will won’t to give their fans some reward before the season is over, we know the feeling too well. It has been a great year for the club but we aren’t done yet.”
