Thanks mate.

I would love nothing more than for us to win this game and win it well.

I'm so sick of us getting beaten by these pricks and having it show up on every Benji highlight reel.

A mate of mine has a corporate box at Leichhardt, I am going to it with him. I was there in 08 when we gave it to the Tigers. I reckon we can do it again.

The tigers are to the sharks what the sharks are to the eels.

A bougey team.

No matter how good we are going we always seem to lose to the Tigers.

Hope we start to turn the tide.

2008 we beat them, easily. 30 odd to 10 odd, I can't member the exact score. Kearney tore them apart though. One of my good mates is a huge Wests fan, I get sick of hearing about West and their dominance over us.

NRL: Wests Tigers lack lustre against Manly Sea Eagles

Wests Tigers lack lustre against Manly Sea Eagles
26 Jul 10 @ 03:28pm
by VERA BERTOLA

DESPITE their recent roll, even the Wests Tigers would admit the holes in their armoury are a concern heading towards the business end of the 2010 NRL season.

The Tigers were never convincing in their 38-20 loss to Manly in Gosford on Sunday, and coach Tim Sheens needs to urgently address the issues which will make the difference between the team being premiership contenders or simply pretenders.

The problems are deeper than the long injury list or, as on Sunday, Benji Marshall’s wayward kicking.

Gallery: Wests Tigers smashed by Manly Sea Eagles

There are a few players not pulling their weight and it’s up to Sheens to determine whether they are simply not up to the task, unfit or not totally committed.

But as the Tigers head into a crucial few weeks of games, Sheens can’t afford to have any dead-wood in the side.

The Tigers are back in action against Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday night, and they need to regain their rhythm with hard work, Sheens said.

“A loss like that (against Manly) does put a dint in you but we bounced back after St George. We’ve won seven from our last eight so we need to jump back on the horse again and work hard this week,” he said.

The main game starts at 7.30pm. Tickets: weststigers.com.au

GO BACK TO THE 80S AT LEICHHARDT OVAL THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

26/07/2010 5:10:54 PM

Wests Tigers plan to take supporters back to the 80s at Leichhardt Oval this Saturday night for the clash against the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks.

A fun night of activities have been planned as part of the entertainment for the round 21 Telstra Premiership match.

No 80s night is complete without a trip back down memory lane. Wests Tigers will be offering a prize for the ‘Fashions On The Hill’ competition whereby supporters are encouraged to dress up in clothes from the 80s.

There also will be a Famous 80s League Legend Look-a-like, so if you or a mate look like a player from the 80s, then you too can win a great prize. Perhaps you look like Balmain 80s legends Paul Sironen, Kerry Hemsley, Wayne Pearce or Steve Roach? If you do, join in the fun!

The Wests Tigers Dance Team will entertain the crowd with a fantastic 80s dance mix.

Some former great players from the Balmain Tigers teams from the 80s will also be in attendance on the night as part of the festivities.

And just like the good old days of rugby league in the 80s, three great games will be played on the one day.

The action starts at 3pm when joint competition leaders Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers tackle Windsor Wolves in the NSW Cup. Gates open at 2.45pm.

At the completion of the NSW Cup, Wests Tigers tackle the Cronulla Sutherland Sharks in round 21 of the Toyota Cup at 5.15pm. Wests Tigers will be looking to get their finals aspirations back on track with victory over the Sharks.

At 7.30pm, third placed Wests Tigers will be looking to return to the winners circle and take another step closer to qualifying for the finals when they tackle the Sharks.

The match will be the first time hooker John Morris and centre Dean Collis come up against their former club in a premiership match since leaving Wests Tigers at the end of last season.

Tickets are now on sale at Gearzone Concord, Loftus Street, Concord Oval, and at Gearzone Campbelltown, Brands On Sale outlet, 32 Queen Street, Campbelltown, or by ringing 1300 12 10 12

Watmough rattles Tiger's cage

Watmough rattles Tiger's cage
GLENN JACKSON

WESTS Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys instructed Manly second-rower Anthony Watmough to ''stick to footy'' after the Sea Eagles hardman inflamed tensions between the clubs by claiming Robbie Farah should ''get some brain scans'' after his concussion.

Tigers doctor Donald Kuah yesterday stopped Farah from training until tomorrow after the captain suffered concussion from a hit by Manly centre Steve Matai on Sunday.

Sea Eagles players suggested the Tigers rake had taken a dive.

While Farah, who was disappointed at being called a diver, said last night he was still confident of playing against Cronulla on Saturday night at Leichhardt Oval, Kuah said he remained in doubt after neuropsychiatric tests yesterday.

Farah still down, Matai back up

Farah still down, Matai back up
Brent Read
July 27, 2010 12:00AM

ROBBIE Farah was still feeling the effects of concussion yesterday as the NRL match review committee cleared Manly's Steve Matai to play this weekend.

A day after Sea Eagles players and officials implied Farah had taken a dive when tackled by Matai in the opening half of Sunday afternoon's game at Bluetongue Stadium, the Tigers skipper was unable to train and remained in doubt for Saturday's game against Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval.

Tigers doctor Donald Kuah confirmed the talismanic No 9 was unlikely to train before tomorrow and was no certainty to take his place against the Sharks.

"He's a bit better but he's still got a headache and is still a bit fuzzy," Kuah said.

"He won't be training at all today or tomorrow. From Wednesday, if he's feeling clear, then we have a concussion protocol that we follow. He's still got symptoms of concussion."

The Adjudicator: NRL R21

The under-achieving Adjudicator is confident an under-the-radar Manly will cruise up the F3 and add another scalp to their name as they surge towards the NRL finals.

Source:http://foxsports.com.au/story/0,20797,27460739-5018866,00.html?from=public_rss

The Adjudicator gives his verdict for round 21 of the NRL premiership
By The Adjudicator
July 30, 2010

<EDITED>

Wests Tigers v Cronulla, Leichhardt Oval, Saturday 7.30pm (EST)
The Adjudicator's verdict: "While Jim appears to be conjuring a conspiracy theory I believe David is spot on in noting the return of Gareth Ellis. The burly Pom's return could not be more timely with the Tigers needing to overcome the NRL side I would least like to fight. If the Tigers can use their trademark width they should be OK but I refuse to forecast a thrashing. I will pick the Tigers to sneak home with a four-tries-to-three victory, Benji plotting two decisive conversions from dead in front of the posts. Tigers by four points."

LATEST COMMENTS FROM FANS

David from Penrith says: The Tigers seem to always have close games with the Sharks, and I fear Benji may have to slot the winning conversion. His goal kicking will play a major factor in the outcome of the game, as I can't see a multiple try win on the cards for either team. Hopefully both Farah and Marshall can turn their last weeks form around (with help from Gareth Ellis laying out the ground work), and put together what will be the most important win of our season. Tigers by 2.

David from Burleigh Heads says: "You observations about the Tigers are quite correct Mr A. The Tigers did show some heart against Manly but were bullied out of the game in the forward pack. We have solved the problem of Benji’s disgraceful kicking record. Tim is paying the ball boys to kick the goals for the Tigers, that way they don’t have to hold the game up delivering and collecting the Tee’s. The result would be roughly the same. Cronulla had their big game with the new coach last week and are as reliable as a politician, so the Tigers should win. Hopefully the glue in the Forwards, big Gareth is back to give us some grunt.. Any other team but the Cowboys or the Sharks and I’d be as nervous as a butchers thumb. If the Tigers don’t beat the Sharks this weekend, they can plan for an early end of season holiday. Tigers by plenty."

Shanay says: You couldn’t be more correct Mr. A it is a must win for the Tigers they need to show that their mid season run wasn't a fluke and that the Tigers end of season curse can be broken, their run home isn't easy. Also when will they take Benji's kicking duties off him he can't kick that bad in finals and expect to win. Tigers by 16 (four tries 0 goals).

Jim from Newcastle says: Robbie Farah will take a dive as soon as he gets his first contact with Paul Gallen. Gallen with his reputation will immediately be placed on report; he'll have a spray at the ref then get binned. Farah will make another miraculous recovery and later declare he cannot remember a thing. The Tigers (or Divers) should be bought to task by the NRL for bringing the game into disrepute.

Either way it'd be ****ing brilliant to beat the Wests Tigers this weekend.

I too am fed up of those cretins beating us all the time.

I just want to see someone put Benji Marshall into Disneyland so the only highlight reels he'll be putting up is him flat on his arse.

Come on Sharkies!!!!

It's Dinner Time at Leichhardt.

Go get em.

UP UP CRONULLA!!!!!!

Wests Tigers v Cronulla – 7.30pm (EST) – Fox Sports 2
The Tigers will be hoping that spiritual rise they get when they play at Leichhardt will truly kick in today after suffering at the hands of Manly in round 20. It's not all over for the Sharks; the stats say teams with new coaches do well second game out.
