Not sure, but Mills REALLY needs to be healthy for us next season now. He is big enough to play in the centres too.

1. Gardner
2. Gordon
3. Collis
4. Mills
5. Gordon

Make it happen, someone!

Sorry to be the heartless voice of reason and optimism here, but you people are leveling your distaste at a kid... A kid who is highly unlikely to have preempted this:

...has activated a clause in his contract that should coach Ricky Stuart leave, he too could walk.

Your distaste would be better directed at the person/s who inserted such a clause, and the senior Sharks official/s who signed off on it!

''I want to win a premiership, and also with the things going on in the club, the uncertainty, I just want to be in a stable place where I can concentrate on winning a title, that is what is in my heart,''

The BELIEVE campaign has the potential to engage players in to stating ''I want to win a premiership with the Sharks".

The Club could also take this opportunity to, in future negotiations, sign players to the Club, not the coach .

and players such as Snowden also have such a clause, a player with so much ability and potential and would have been chased by many clubs who could have afforded him has decided to stay at the Sharks..Chose to be loyal and who is only 3 years older than Fergo...Being of that age doesn't mean you can be disloyal to the people who got you to where you are today..It is not just Ricky out there, players also help bring other players through, so him being disloyal doesn't just impact on the club, it impacts on everyone, from the top to the bottom!

My heart says drop him and good riddance.

My head says he's playing for a contract, and we can still make the 8.

Stuart was instrumental in Ferguson's development, but aside from the coaching shake-up the club's uneasy financial position is another factor in his decision, along with his desire to play in the centres.
You are not ready to play centre, even Ricky can see that. You can't pass, you can't draw and pass, you don't position yourself in support, and you can't offload in a tackle.
''I want to win a premiership, and also with the things going on in the club, the uncertainty, I just want to be in a stable place where I can concentrate on winning a title, that is what is in my heart,'' Ferguson told the Herald. ''It is nothing personal, I do have an emotional attachment to the club. I just want to win.''
This is just a bull**** excuse. The club is stable, he just wants more $$$ and to get a soft ride into a premiership.
The move by Ferguson has caused a massive stir at the Sharks, with incoming coach Shane Flanagan storming out of a meeting with the player after being told his intentions this week.
Good to hear.

Anyway despite what he's done, I don't want to be the sort of club that turns on our players totally. You do have to remember, we are calling for Covell to come back because of his loyalty... but he himself has been treated as expendable for the past 3 years.

One other point though... how selfish and cowardly to do it in Origin week while 3 of your team-mates are reaching their dreams. I feel like going back and finding every post where anyone's ever praised him and deleting them :)

Want To Be A Star?

Where do you reckon he's signed for? My guess = the Broncos or Roosters.

Unfortunately rugby league now is known for rewarding dog acts.

Want to get on the Footy Show? Walk out on your club, come back 2 years later, and you'll get on the day after you've signed the contract.

Want to get in the Blues team? Come back after failing in rugby union

Want to play for QLD? Sign for AFL

Want to be a star? Do a Mundine/Tallis/Hodges, walk out, and slam everyone you meet on the way. The more controversy, the more news, the more rep teams, the more $$$.

What a douche bag.

He has no doubt gone after the bucks, and to justify it he craps on the club in the media making it even harder for us to sign more players.

Complete tosser, as we all knew.

Definately clean drop him, either Stapo or Tautai to wing.

p.s.... If by some miracle you read this get stuffed Fergo, you have nothing anyway, go chase your 2 bucks, tosser

I wonder if the club is going to release a statement assuring players that they're still secure and Fergo has gone for his "own reasons" which is believed to be extra dollars (saying that Irvines statement doesnt help does it, a reason why he should of kept his trap shut, especially as he knew this would come out today!, between that and Flano advertising we are in negotiations with Snowwie, we are deadset shooting ourselves in the foot)

Happy he's gone. No matter how good of a player he may have become (he's certainly not there yet) you just don't want him in the team if his heart is not into it.

My broader concern is the risk of other Player managers using this as a precedent for their players to leave the team utilising the "Sticky" clause.

We don't need managers pressuring players off the field, we still have too many issues on the field !

WHAT WE NEED TO DO IS GET HIM STRAIGHT OUT OF THE SHARKS THIS SUNDAY. Drop him to park football FOR SURE

This way,

1) He cant dismerit the club to the other players WHICH HE WILL DO TO EXPLAIN WHY HE HAS DONE TO HIS TEAM MATES

2) The other players will see how bad it looks and how the club reacted.

IF HE DOES STAYS IN THE FULLTIME SQUAD HE WILL PERSUADE OTHER PLAYERS TO LEAVE
