they could and should still be asked……Standard puff piece, makes me more nervous than reassured. Sounds like they are anticipating some tough questions at the AGM on Wednesday.

Nicest thing that's been said about Buzz for a long time. The sooner that red faced gnome Buzz ****s off to Lappland to his other gig as Santa Claus' elf the better.
100%, should always be the case for any board.yeah actual questions should be asked.
id like to know the process as to the calculated "she will be right" gamble re the roof that has delayed everything
Good advice , so just let Buzz tell everyone instead .One note: there's always some information that's intended for the meeting, rather than the whole world... so use your discretion before posting all the information.
Years ago your Sharks membership included the Leagues club. Should've have stayed that way, especially for interstate members...Reminder the AGM is tomorrow 6:30pm at Kareela:
If anyone hasn't been before, they are very relaxed, down the bottom of the club (in the function room area).
There are two meetings - the Leagues Club meeting (the longer one, which covers mostly everything), and the Football Club meeting (normally very brief as it covers most of the same ground as the Leagues Club meeting), with a 10 minute or so break between the two.
You just need to be a leagues club member.... as in the member's card you get at the front desk of Sharks@Kareela for like $25 for 3 years or whatever it is (so not the Sharks season membership, but the leagues club). That allows you to vote on motions in the Leagues Club meeting, where all the main business is done. The football club membership is more complicated, you need to pay for voting rights each year, but you can still stay in the football club meeting even without it.
Generally there is a presentation by Dino, where he also answers any of the pre-submitted questions. Then there are various motions to vote on (normally fairly technical), and then general business, which is generally a mixture of useful questions and cringe questions (e.g. "will Talakai play in the second row this week").
You can be as quiet or as active as you want. There's no need to talk or do anything other than raise your voting card. If you want to be more active, you can ask questions in general business, or chat to some of the board before/after/between the meetings. Normally they have the bar open with a complimentary beer or two.
All members are very welcome, even if just to sit there and listen. Often it barely meets the quorum (minimum number of members). I encourage more to go, we are lucky to have a member-owned/democratic club, and the more people who are aware and interested in the process, the better. Particularly younger members.
One note: there's always some information that's intended for the meeting, rather than the whole world... so use your discretion before posting all the information.

It still actually does include a Complimentary Leagues Club Membership (https://www.sharks.com.au/membership/benefits/core-member-benefits/), but I imagine you would need to still register it at the leagues club in person.Years ago your Sharks membership included the Leagues club. Don't think I'm going to get there tonight due to sickness, but hopefully someone can take a few notes!

“Hi Dino, SF here, long time listener, first time caller. When is this bloody leagues club ever gunna get finished and what are you doing about the queues at the tuck shops, Watering holes and dunnies on match days“?……..
Follow up question if I may DinoMy guess,
"Thanks SF for your question. Current status is that the roof replacement has unfortunately taken longer than expected and we are working with the developer and builder to start soon.
Hopefully the fit out of the club will commence by the end of the year so more than likely we be opened sometime before the end of the 2025 footy season"
I appreciate our members' devoted support and patience whilst we work on completing a world class club for our members and their guests.Follow up question if I may Dino
Is there a discount/ rebate/ allowances applied to memberships given No leagues club?
Based on previous meetings, I don't think there are plans for any big spending. Possibly some improvements to changerooms for NRLW, and minor items like that. But anything big they need to wait for government funding or NRL buyout or something like that.Bugger that's a shame, hope you're not too crook.
I'd like to know what, if any, the plans are to improve facilities at the ground.
It's probably already been spoken about and I've missed it.
So you ARE Dino!!!I appreciate our members' devoted support and patience whilst we work on completing a world class club for our members and their guests.
We invite and welcome our members to our Sharks at Kareela Club in the interim where your membership can be used for food and beverage discounts, weekly member draws and other fantastic features.
I was going to say is it just me or has nothing happened at NCSC for agesBased on previous meetings, I don't think there are plans for any big spending. With the Leagues club, every time we have one of these meetings, the open date goes back. Wouldn't be surprised if the new date is "start of the 2025 season". But you look at North Cronulla Surf Club redevelopment which is completely stopped, it could be worse I guess.
