Looking at our off contract players there aren’t any that would be that sad to see go.

Be nice to keep some of them but more than ok with losing any of the below if it means signing AFB

If the current prop is saying that to a Neville at the beach then I'd say that then "inside the tent" there is no push for AFB.

This player is obvs thinking about not breaking up the group however if you and your group of mates aren’t performing then you can f*k right off.

I’m of this opinion too.

The last top echelon prop we had was my man Andrew Fifita.

And we “developed” him in to that level.

I think that’s the answer here too.
AFB would be a good pick up.
But not at stupid money at the expense of up a comers.

I hope we aren’t seduced in to a mistake

I like AFB coming here, even on a four year deal, because I’m concerned about the Hynes window. We did well to get one of the comps best halves here, but he wasn’t young when he arrived and he’s already two years in. He may only have three good injury free years left. May. So bring on AFB.

Fifita was always a player of great potential but it took years for him to develop but we were fine to wait because we had Gallen and others to ensure we had a competitive pack.

If we want to wait for the current batch of props to get to that level are we going to be patient enough ?

AFB adds exactly what we're missing now whilst these other guys can develop in parrallel.

4 yrs is too long IMHO( I was never for the DF term) at 28yo . Don't underestimate impacts of Team harmony. We are in a good spot, subject to smart tinkering. Lets not blow the budget.
