Maloney v Fitz would have been like a vacuum cleaner salesman and a used car lot owner attempting to negotiate.

Anyone mention Will Chambers? I know it wasn't for long, but what a waste of time that was.

Yeah that was basically harmless though. It was short term and it didn’t really have any adverse consequences to the club overall.

Matty John’s signing cost us a Campbell/Noddy halves pairing which could of propelled us into premiership contention. I’d say thats far more damaging.

I get your point though.

i wanted to keep Jimmy. Give him a pay rise since we did that to Moylan. we could of went on 2nd GF
I think everyone covered my thoughts pretty well :D

I would have liked to see 2016 Jimmy continue. Pity 2017 Jimmy acted like a jackass

Cuthbertson, stank of manly and was absolutely disgraceful then he came over. Thankfully didn't last long before being released.

He was just a bit of a novelty act, wasn't he. I think everyone realised it wasn't going to work pretty early on.

I was going to say Corey Hughes but then I remembered how good he was for us.

Him starting a brawl at the races then telling the dogs to get ****ed when they tried to fine him for it will always be funny to me.

Funny thing was that he had to ask Gal if it was ok to come on board first after calling him a drug cheat.

They were affordable, it was the fact they were demands and associated with sloppy play bordering on tanking which Flanno took issue with.

I absolutely back Flanno not bowing to that attitude.
Fitz made a similar (but certainly not identical) move when he didn’t attempt to keep Metcalf who was putting pen to paper with warriors before Fitz has settled in.

With the players the club was trying to retain, having a player demanding a pay rise to his existing contract was probably not possible. Especially when we now have the knowledge of how 2016 looked in regards to salary cap implications, id hate to think what sorta thing we’d have offered Maloney.

Agree with you, but he came in as forward with a good offload and Sticky immediately told him to keep the ball to himself, thus negating his main strength. What the **** did he get him for?

Trying to figure out why sticky does anything is likely to cause an aneurysm.

The "t-rex" another decent shout for terrible manly forwards we signed
