It's fine to think he got it wrong. We just shouldn't pretend we know.
Agree with that. Definitely don't know the outcomes, but some probabilities can be higher that others.

If we were all to only comment on what we know this would be a very reasonable and somewhat boring place to frequent!

Jesus. We are reaching now. Could have been a better pass but fmd it's a 14m pass that lands 15cm off the mark. It was the 4th tackle. Nicho should have taken the tackle and Tricky Johns should have kicked it so that we could all whack off over him for the next 7 days.

Bigger issue is that they tried to hedge their bets and never set up properly for a field goal. They didn't lose the game because of a pass that was 0.01% off the mark.

Come on, mate. Nicho has to bend to catch the pass at his knees. The pass wasn't good. Blake had a very good season (despite the OWB running gag) but that pass at a pivotal moment of the game wasn't executed properly.

Now, I'm not saying this is the reason for the loss. Losing that game was a pretty special collective effort, but it stands out because of when/where it happened.
I agree that, in hindsight, Nicho probably should have reviewed his options and taken the tackle, since we still had a play left. But it doesn't make the pass any better.

And I think you've hit the nail on the head with your last paragraph.

Yes.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, I give you exhibit A:

Who didn't?
His three career highlights are the Pom Slam, knocking himself out setting up a try against the Warriors, and dropping the ball.

I agree 100%. Was just a little behind the 8 ball because I didn't see the game live, so was asking what "stuff ups" we were talking about. I think some people are putting too much value in to fifth tackle hot potato plays.

Meh - they nearly scored on the right, they had numbers and a defender with his back turned. That's a Connor override call. If he is Scott Drinkwater they score on that play easily.

Nicho can sook all he wants, but Blayke doesn't go to Connor there unless it is something they have trained for. Fullback couldn't execute. Not the hooker's fault.

my eyes hurt just looking at that picture

You have to be absolutely the only person in the world that thinks Brailey didn’t royally f*ck this one up.

..I know you like to make it look like you see things mere mortals don’t and I’m not even going to pretend to argue with you but my friend this one is one of your best. Lol

Every Rooster except 2nd marker & one offside with his back turned was heading to the open side in that frame. Its not as though there wasn't anything doing on the short.

Congratulations to Blake for the recognition of a very good season.

But I'm sure he only got these awards because he played in all the games... ;) or to annoy all the Sharks Forever experts.:ROFLMAO:

Yeah sure. The pass contributed. I think the delay contributed more. He looked like he didn’t know it was on. Same pass a little quicker would have been fine.

Great recognition for him. Some humble pie to be eaten by a few.
Nah - that would require them to accept that NRL players, staff and coaches might actually know more about the game than they do.

That won't happen. I fully expect a long list of "only won it because" posts. E.g.

Whole team was ****, so having BB win it is just an example of how bad the year was
Nicho had an off year
WK got injured
BB is Fitz's love child
Bunch of injuries so a bloke who played every game won it by default

... or whatever.

The last thing that would ever happen on this forum is someone saying "oh, since the coach and players think he is doing a great job, maybe there are things I am missing. I may not be the expert I thought I was on how hookers should play".
