No I think coming out saying you want a Sharks player to have a significant injury overrides being a classy bloke because you also don't mind if he got dropped or, what is the 3rd option, 'goes'?

Maybe you should wish Tricky would string together enough good NSW Cup performances to actually earn the spot?
I'd be happy for him to have a run but it seems like for every NSW Cup game he dominates (when the Jets have an easy win) there is one not long after where he looks disinterested or plays bad.
Apparently he 'offers so much more' but it only shows selectively, much like we accuse Moylan of doing.
We're 2/3 of the way through the season (with the best points per game), yes we struggle against stronger teams but I wouldn't say it is the time to throw out a lethal combination to try and develop a different one.

If you watched Cogger get around for Penrith and thought that could be Tricky for us then it is time to ship Tricky off to England for two seasons to run a team over there. Hopefully we are are on a Premiership or two when he gets back...

To me it just seems like a pretty crappy attitude to get around with, wishing workplace injuries on people. But hey, you don't have to care what I think.
I think it is going to be Dykes who will replace Moylan.

I think it is going to be Dykes who will replace Moylan.
We haven't seen much of Dykes but personally I'm a big fan and keen to see where he goes with his career. As much as Miller has had a mixed season this year the fact Dykes came in at 20 and jumped him says a lot about how the club viewed him and where he was already at, as Miller is an exceptional backup fullback to have.

I think this season with a the year out to add a little size (and time in the coaches box on game day) and the reemergence of Kennedy as a legit weapon does suggest Dykes is more likely to be steered towards the 6.

Trindall has certainly done some good stuff for us but games like last week in Cup suggest to me he's not the solution to all our woes some believe him to be. He could get better in time but so could Dykes, so could Puru, so could Atkinson - there will always be some players who are the starters and some who are the backups. The backups always 'could' get better if given an extended run in first grade.

It's interesting to me Trindall is playing 6 in Cup, suggests he will remain in the mix to fight for the 6 jersey too. Definitely doesn't suggest to me anyone is thinking about swapping Hynes to 6 to accommodate Trindall at 7. George could just want to play them that way around against Fitz's wishes but having been our Flegg coach the year before you'd think he'd be open to swapping them if Fitz asked... I also think the fact Hynes and Moylan play more as 'halves partners' rather than 'this guy is halfback, this guy is 5/8' also works for Puru and by putting Trindall at 6 they are trying to help fit him for that style too.
I think we don't want a guy to come in and take over from Hynes to take responsibility off him, we want a guy to come in and partner with Hynes to help him kill it.

Good little talent pool of halves we've got though, hard to be certain who is the pick of the bunch come this time next year, or this time the year after. Dykes and Puru are just 21, Atkinson is 22 and Trindall turns 24 next week - Fogarty only secured a regular jersey for Titans at 24 and is a very solid NRL half now.

Feels like a treading water game this one. Winning is enough here, by any amount I think. Awaiting our next top 8 opponent to see if we can win one.

It's a shame that massive victories in the past two weeks have been a bit 'meh' since we're aware of our record against bottom 8 vs top 8.

Keep working on what we need to work on - completion, awareness and defence.

That's why I didn't mind an early penalty goal the other week. We could have probably scored a try there but the right thing to do in a competitive game is take the penalty.

If we treat this as a competitive game the points will come and we will benefit.
If we treat it like a walk over we won't complete and will not only end up potentially scoring less, but it won't do us any favours longer term.

Playing the Tigers is better than the bye. Because when you have a bye your F/A stays the same for that round.

Why is it assumed the Tigers will be looking to regain some respect and pride? They never had any to begin with. A team that does doesn't get 70 points put on them by a mediocre team like the Cows

As bad as Tigers are as a team and club you can get smashed by a big score (Storm did it to us) but 70+ that's attitude and culture right there, that's not having a go and giving up

Their players don't care about their jersey, their fans, their coaches or winning for their club. It's a place to get a paycheck and have some lolz

We could try to lose this game and would prob still win

Only advantage Tigers have is the home game but it's not even their actual home ground - it's Parra's lol , not that I would expect many turn up after last weeks debacle at the hands of the Cows.

Tigers have pulled off some remarkable wins here and there this season but I think they could be done with turning up now and are thinking of vacation.

When they have an actual crack they can make things interesting but it so rarely happens

I don't usually get too complacent but the Tigers are just so bad and the Sharks must be one of if not the most consistent clubs at winning against bottom 8 opponents. We don't really drop the easy games anymore and Tigers just like the Dragons have not beaten us in a fair while now.

All the same I will be shitting myself if we don't have a comfortable lead by the 60 minute mark
Tigers without Brooks (Tyrion Lannister but without the personality) & Twal - Sharks should win in a canter & then straight to Leeds for the third test - Aussies win toss & bat; 1-87 at Lunch. Nice…..

I'm liking the look of our team with Hunt and BHU to be included giving us a good rotation of solid forwards. At their best Sharks are capable of beating any top side. I would like Moylan to go now, have a season ending injury of for Fitz to make call and drop him. Tricky offers much more and coupled with Nicho could develop into a lethal combination. Wade like Moylan is not a one club player having both come from Panthers. I have special regards for 1 club Sharks players, however Wade has served this club well and as such have high regards for him. Having said that, I would like him out off top 17 and on reserves list.
I agree with your take on the pack getting stronger. I also agree Nicho & Tricky may form a lethal combination.

I am not huge on stats, but it seems to me Nicho & Moylan are already a Lethal combination - refer attached.

Sharks sitting at the top end for tries / line breaks / overall points.

I have watched the sharks for 45 years & have not seen this level of attacking acumen, apart fro maybe 1988, 1999 and / or 2016 - pint is , its rare to achieve on our shoe string budget.

Nicho and Hynes compete for the ball to much for my liking. Both always trying to get their hands on it

Has the club organised any buses from Cronulla/Kareela to get fans to the game?

Keen to avoid driving if possible but public transport is ~2hrs each way.

Cheers!
