Don’t know anything about him. A fast bowler allrounder?
Yeah he averages 44 with the bat in Shield and is a fast bowler. Also scored a century in the Shield final last season. Ricky Ponting has him as the man to replace Green, so that’s got to count for something!

We're a very good team which is why I can't wait for our next two tours. Both will be a true test for us.

Four Tests in India starting 9 Feb, it's not far away.

(Should be five tests but *grumble grumble*)

Anyway your right. Winning on tour is always the true acid test for a test team. Especially in India and in the Ashes.

So yes I love Cam Green but here are his stats to date compared to Stokes and Flintoff, probably two of the best allrounders of the last 20 years. I'm not including Kallis, he was a freak.

Flintoff
Tests 79
Batting avg. 31.77
Bowling avg. 32.78

Stokes
Tests 89
Batting avg. 36.14
Bowling avg. 31.99

Green
Tests 18
Batting avg. 35.04
Bowling avg. 29.78

I think Green's batting average will be at least 40 by the end of his career.

Its still early days to know what the SCG pitch will do but all the noise is that it’ll be one of the most spin friendly setups in a long time (which is a good thing imo as we have an Indian tour to prepare for). For me that means Ashton Agar has to be the man to step in for Cam Green. Can bat at 6 easily and is a very decent spin option to tie up the other end with Lyon.

Yeah agree with that, exactly what we need.

Also some noise that Morris may place at the expense of Boland. I get there's some excitement about his pace but that would be very unfair on Boland.

Adam Zampa is a full blown tool, but he shouldn't be given the opportunity to try and mankad someone.

In games with a video umpire, all deliveries where the batter backing up is out of their crease it should be called a run short. So there's no benefit in cheating the system.

I like it I'm theory but would be a bit hard I reckon. Yes they look at no balls every delivery but the camera is honed in on the bowler's foot. You need to see the bowler releasing the ball and where the batsmen is.

I have zero sympathy for batsmen dismissed by mankad. As Starc said, bowlers have to stay behind the crease so bad luck if the batsman doesn't.

Yeah I agree with the no sympathy for mankad. If you're out of your crease when the ball is live then it's your fault.

There's just so much stigma attached to it now though I don't know whether it's reversable.

Re the camera, the video ref would have access to all the tv cameras wouldn't they? I guess like everything else it wouldn't end up being used for just the obvious incursions though. There'd be whingeing if they missed a close one and it affected the result.
