Tigers now have 28/30 filled.

They’re looking at Nathan Brown now and a centre to finalise their roster for 2023. Apparently they still got close to 800k left. So brown could be 300k and then still got 500k to throw at a centre.
How the fk have they got salary cap space remaining after the signings theyve made compared to the 'departures' from 2022

Isn't everyone required to spend like 90% of the cap though so even a **** squad is still well paid - I don't understand this ****
Exactly
Apart from trading Hastings for Klemmer, i cant see other significant losses.
Surely they weren't paying Jimmy the Jet a fortune?

They had quite a lot of cap space relevant to other teams.
If everyone has to spend 90% the most they could have over others is 10%. So about $960k of old cap. Decent but I don't see how we'd be closer with Fifita & Wade's big $ deals off the books. Who else would be hitting $800k in our squad? They're still paying Brooks like Thurston.

It doesn't wash that we've 100% eaten this cap raise already while others can splash. If so we ****ed up.

We finished second to their last and still have a better team. I’ll stand by our **** up.

Also at times you get mediocre guys who should be on min wage or a couple hundred K get bribed like and extra 100k to go to Tigers because they want them and literally have to spend the extra to ensure they get them.

Yeah but we have a heap of guys needing upgrades. Who are they upgrading?

we may have a better overall team, but the tigers now have a way better forward pack than we do

they are a genuine half away from being a top 6 side

If Olympians had behaved like that in the old days they would have brought lions into the colosseum
You would think someone who has reached the lofty glorious heights of Olympic glory would be honourable enough to see out his contract.

Or should we just bow to his every wish being an Olympian after all.

I don't disagree. They've done surprisingly well recruitment-wise. But... for how long... We've seen these type of teams built and fall apart a couple of years later. The Tigers have to prove virtually everyone wrong at this point.

We're a top 2 side. And look like hanging around there for the next 3-5 years, minimum. We're building well for sustained success.

The big question is where that half is coming from. It'll still be a surprise if they get a half of that quality.

And Bunji has never coached before, they're showing a lot of faith in him.
