Fox are saying he is dev list.

That's great for Josh. Sucks for Burleigh though. Hope they send him to Wynnum rather than Norths or Souths.
Oh nice, I didn’t google it, was just going off pics from Facebook in their kit. But dev list is great as it means he’s there all year

Below is from a tele article identifying rookies to watch in 2023.

Sharks

Kade Dykes
Club
: Sharks

Position: Fullback

Son of former Shark Adam, has already played two NRL games and looks a real star of the future. Electric fast, great skills, terrific hands, and he just has that footy IQ the way he can seize an opportunity. It will be interesting to see how he develops in 2023 with Will Kennedy currently owning the No.1 jumper.

Siteni Taukamo
Club
: Sharks

Position: Fullback/Winger

A former schoolboy rugby star at Newington College, he has now played the last couple of years in the Sharks system. Can play fullback or on the wing, is a big strong lad with the flair to go with it. Recently played for Greece at the World Cup where he scored their first ever World Cup try.

Jesse Colquhoun
Club
: Sharks

Position: Prop

A Wollongong junior overlooked by the Dragons, but they reckon Craig Fitzgibbon absolutely loves him because of his hardworking attitude. Which is about as good a rap as you could give any young middle forward. Originally turned up at the Sharks just chasing a trial but has since signed until the end of 2024. Has four NRL games so far despite only recently turning 21.

Hard to argue with any of those, though I think Siteni is a while off first grade, the other 2 will defn play.

Stonestreet and Iro should get a mention.

@BurgoShark - would they be your top 3 rookies to watch?
Dykes for sure.

Jesse is one to keep an eye on long term, but from an NRL PoV he's more likely to break in next year I reckon. Might get a bit more of a sniff in the NRL but imo he'll be best served playing big minutes for the Jets.

Not sure how much people are going to be watching Taukamo. He's injured. Haven't seen an update on a return date, but based on the massive scar you'd think shoulder/pec so I wouldn't expect to see him any time soon.

3 easy targets for the author though, since dev players can't play until the middle of May.

Lol. These guys have obviously never seen Connor Tracey pass :ROFLMAO:

Also - Just name every guy who came through the Sharks system and merge them in to the same mythical 20's team.

Good luck to BHU for rehabbing his broken leg.

Hopefully he should be back start of new year without issue if that's what it was

Haha. That stopped me in my tracks too for a microsecond.

nrl.com has him with a calf injury. Hopefully he gets in some of the preseason

Yeah. Calf injury. It was reported after the game. They said he'd be ready to go for pre-season. Could be he's just doing the first few weeks as rehab training. Lucky bastard - indoor rehab in the air-con beats running up sand hills.
