Dare I say it but I get the feeling Wade might need to take a big cut to stay (and be happy with a bench role) or head to France.
Think France 🇫🇷 will be his next move for the retirement package.
Even more so if (as reported above) were re-signing Nikora, signing another backrower and have Tieg here as well

Don't know if 'official' yet but Trent Robinson has said SST is off to France next year, their international quota probably getting a bit tight.
Also got Pearce, May, Napa, Kasiano, Whare although could drop some of them, or May might try come back.
Their edge player Chan has signed with Storm so they might have that jersey free for Wade...

Teams are allowed up to 7 overseas players.
So theyll be right.

7 wow okay, even if I missed someone they only need to shift one to fit him then.
I was thinking it was 5
Yeah it used to he confusing and they were allowed 5 from nz/aus and then additional ones from tonga/samoa/fiji etc
Then they simplified it and just went 7

Okay that was probably what I was thinking of them.
Restrict your international imports to just over half your starters please guys!

Although they can only actually pay two of them big money as I recall (that's probably changed also haha)

Nah still 2 'marquee' players but the top teams typically use this to retain English players.
But i do agree theres top many international imports in SL.
But top teams are able to develop quality home grown players whereas lower teams have to rely on imports to make them competitive

The Sharks are reportedly set to re-sign gun forwards Jack Williams and Braden Hamlin-Uele.

With Briton Nikora’s new deal set to be announced in the coming days, the Cronulla club have gone about securing their middle forwards.

Williams and Hamlin-Uele are both hard running forwards who are off contract at the end of the 2022 season.

Now the pair’s stay in Cronulla is set to be extended.

“When you cultivate success, no one wants to leave and that is what is happening down in Cronulla,” The Daily Telegraph’s David Riccio said on Triple M Breakfast.

“Jack Williams, he is a hard running front rower, very talented, he was actually in contention for the player of the year award down there at the Sharks last season such was the year he had.

“I expect him to re-sign on a new two-year deal, and that will be quickly followed I believe by the re-signing of Braden Hamlin-Uele.

“So again Craig Fitzgibbon very much under a model of wanting to keep this collection of players together in the belief that the longer they play together, the more success they are going to have.”

Great news. That would secure our pack pretty well long term and help our whole cap be pretty well balanced overall. We have a premiership window open, but we are probably a star 6 away from being a favourite. Unless Kennedy or Brailey hit another level.

I think WK, Blake & bunch of our other guys are still going to get better, couple that with an a team that sticks together & grows into the moulded team Fitz wants will see us challenge with a legit chance in coming seasons.
Here’s hoping.

I think we are a chance this year. A slim one though. I agree with you, they will all improve, just think we could do with that James Maloney signing to push us over the top.

Luke Keary if he gets squeezed out of roosters?

I dont think theres any chance that the rumour about him being forced out is even remotely true. But in the highly unlikely event that theres merit to the rumour then yes I think we should be all over Keary. Would be fantastic next to Hynes.

I read that Keary's deal at the Roosters is back-ended and he'll be on 1.3 million next year. No idea whether this is just a wild stab in the dark by the journo, probably is.
