It was his groin, he kind of did the splits in that tackle and immediately was in agony.

Considering it's been an issue all off season for him they might give him a proper rest now, though with Ika out we might not have that luxury.

reinjury risk but also could be more “sensitive” to minor stretch

Not sure how to take not having an update... initially believed minor, and consider chance of more sensitive, fingers crossed it is nothing much and time off in minimal or even just precautionary.

groins are a tricky thing to treat and predict recovery wise . they can actually take up to 6 months to properly heal but a profesional NRL players is never going to get that sort of time if they want to keep playing

Kind of got the impression they wont be rushing him back this time. Hopefully only a couple of weeks, certainly helps we have some decent turn around times between games. 9 day break before Tigers game.

Anyone got any mail on how long he is out ?
NRL site now says round 6, but saw round 8 mentioned by someone also

NRL also has Ikuvalu listed round 6 which is quick if he needed surgery, may have been very mild Syndesmosis injury though

Nice that we can afford to rest his groin for a month, sorta like blokes volunteer to do during November

Excellent news
Hope hes our #14 bench utility.
Agreed. Great cover and / or great impact around tiring forwards - Craig Wing style.

6 August 2022 - circa 8:50pm - I would love to see Tracey measuring up lumberig lazy Aaron Woods In the 65th minute, Kennedy backing up Terry Lamb style…..TRY… Sharks 34 - 8.
