Didn’t hurt his chances of holding that starting jersey at all

What do you think @burgess1978, we reopen the poll in say round 4 to check where the whipping action is at?
It’s always open. Anyone can change their vote any time.

I reckon you are right though about round 4 being when we’ll see some minds changing. By then I reckon Nikora will either have relinquished the tag or played bad enough to not be in the 17.

Nikora was one of the best out there, 110 meters 30+ tackles. Looked a different player than last year. No lapse in concentration and looked very fit for a trial

Must be feeling the pressure from some other edges. If he can make that a standard game instead of an exception he will hold his jersey easily, but he’s shown games like that in the past.

Was it him that ran over Will Smith? He was looking pretty solid defensively until being trampled

Sounds like Nikora the whipping boy has earned some time to let the Scars heal up. Wonder whether Hynes will receive such grace.

I'm pleased Nikora has stated he's keen to stay with us & he'd never heard about the Tigers link. Other fans may dislike him but I like Nikora a lot, he's not as bad as certain fans think he is. Hynes might make him rather impressive with a few inside balls.

Article saying Dragons front runners due to Flanagan connection. Id say we are front runners given current club. I think if Fitz wants him, we keep him. Unless it came down to $, noones worth paying too much for, especially in a league littered with quality 2nd rowers.

Hypothetical:

Id Nikora were to leave, whod be happy to see a return of Jack Bird? Was always destined to be a 2nd rower. Has utility value across the back line and halves in emergency situations also. Right dollars and with a decent bill of health i wouldnt say no.

But i reckon hea gunna shop to highest bidder wherever that is (Dolphins)
