Article saying Dragons front runners due to Flanagan connection. Id say we are front runners given current club. I think if Fitz wants him, we keep him. Unless it came down to $, noones worth paying too much for, especially in a league littered with quality 2nd rowers.

Hypothetical:

Id Nikora were to leave, whod be happy to see a return of Jack Bird? Was always destined to be a 2nd rower. Has utility value across the back line and halves in emergency situations also. Right dollars and with a decent bill of health i wouldnt say no.

But i reckon hea gunna shop to highest bidder wherever that is (Dolphins)
Jack Bird probably gunna stay cause of the Flanagan connection 😀

Nikora is the best 'line running' 2nd rower in the comp in my opinion- always has been.
It was his defence which let him down last season for me.
But from what ive seen so far hes out a bit of muscle on and is hitting and sticking in tackles
If he keeps that up its a no brainer.

Yep. His play with the ball has never been the problem.

Will it help his reads in defence though?

I'll also say Cordner was the best line runner before his retirement, Nikora is good at it though, not denying that.

I don’t think that really matters. Flanno was the boss when the Sharks recruited Nikora, and in 2018 Nikora was in the NRL top 30 training with Flanno all season. Flanno was also the coach for the 2019 pre-season.

Flanno resigned on 20 January 2019, so Nikora was in “Flano’s system” for more than 3 years, and for roughly 15 months of that time Flanno was his coach.

I'm pleased Nikora has stated he's keen to stay with us & he'd never heard about the Tigers link. Other fans may dislike him but I like Nikora a lot, he's not as bad as certain fans think he is. Hynes might make him rather impressive with a few inside balls.

Thought he looked good last night. Looks to have put some size on and knows how to use it. Thought we had Tino on our team for a bit lol.
