Horrible last 20 minutes, got to stop going himself and learn to put the grubber in for others. Had a couple of lucky ricochets today. Lovely pass in the first half though, more of that!

Tried a bit too much when SJ went off. Needs more development, good exposure coming in the next few weeks with SJ likely to out.

We still wondering why Moylan was signed?
Really needs an experienced half alongside him to run the show. Much more a six than seven

I've been critical of Trindall and today showed he is far from ready to be given the 7 full time and the keys to the side. He over played his hand and ran almost every time. He also kept insisting on the torp which continued to fall short and turn the ball over 30 out.

When he switched it up it was beautiful, his pass to Ronaldo, and a long kick finding grass and winning great field position. Those moments were really promising, and when he learns to pick his moments and manage the game better he could be a great player.

Glad we have re-signed him and hopefully the reserves comp comes back next year so he can have more experience at 7.

Not sure what people expected from him?

22 year old rookie, played what 4-5 games starting as a half and played almost same amount off the bench as a lock.

Our dominant half went down, and all the sudden the pressure was all on him, he played how any 22 year old rookie would in that position. Yes, he overplayed at times but far out there is promise in him.

He is an amazing goal kicker. Really hits them well.

I think he is not quite ready to be a starting half. I would sign someone like Brooks for two years and then Trindall should be ready.

Sign Brooks for two years and Trindall will have left by the second. Sometimes you gotta give the young guys a chance.

If you don't want him at his rawest, you don't deserve him at his best. Or... Some **** like that.

Or you over play him too early and kill his
confidence and his career before it starts

I think his confidence will be just fine in the halves with Nicho Hynes behind a pack with leaders like Finucane and McInnes

It does happen but he doesn't seem low on confidence.

I don't disagree with you btw. It's just the risk we run bringing someone else in.

The more he tried to play for himself the worse he got. Continues to show some potential though

He's been working on his dancing. Last week he was so slow off the mark he looked like he was carrying a caber

a couple there on the fifth tackle, could have toed it into the in goal to get repeat sets. or at least get them running backwards

Or boot it dead and give them second tackle sets.

Hindsight is a lovely thing. Fact is, he was left to be the dominant half and his job in the last twenty was to manage the team home to a victory. Him getting tackled on the last 3m out from the line, 12 points up with 15 min to go is a high percentage play.

I think it’s fair to say he had the management of the game at the forefront of his mind rather than chasing more points. I’ll take that with a 21 year old half with a handful of games under his belt. His decision making in those situations will become more polished with time.

Like having a half take the line on but not every time in the 10m zone. Give it to him he backs himself, but as some have said would like some moments back over.

don;t get me wrong i thought he had a good game overall.
I was just screaming. before it happened....put it on the toe. NOT to go over the dead ball line. love a good repeat set.
