I never would wish ill to anyone .
BUT , if Flanno ended up a total failure ( unlikely ) at Roosters and got dropped , I wouldnt be unhappy .
No way Xerri would want to join him in reserves .
PS , hes pulling his dick if he says Sharks training intensity not enough , unless Morris had unlikely let things slip.
Bloody hell , they won the grand final playing intensely until the final whistle . I'm calling it .
Hes a TURD

As others have pointed out he mostly did pre-season under his dad anyway, not Morris.

I'm more than happy for Flanno to fail but so many star players around him gives him a huge advantage to succeed.

100%

He is going to be a pale imitation of Cronk and Uncle Nick won't like that too much.

So many players that change clubs say the new training is harder.
I always wonder how many are just trying to fire a shot and how many confuse end of season training with early pre-season training.
Or if there is just a couple different things they aren't used to so seem harder
or every club lifts their intensity ever year.

So hes right when he says that this preseason is tougher then the last one he did at the Sharks.

But its probably also tougher then the Roosters last preseason.

Agreed. "If things could have worked out there." What things? He signed a contract for the security and then left as soon as he got a better offer.

His dad is a former player and coach, so he'd understand the business of the game better than most young players. I doubt he was ever half as passionate about the club as he is about himself.

Her also re-signed after his old man signed SJ.

So, he can get ****ed.

Yea but don't forget that we were the ones that wouldn't play him over a horrendous Shaun Johnson who was costing us games. This after Kyle had performed very well for us. When it became clear he had no future here and was just depth there wouldn't be much motivation to hang around playing reserves for another year and hoping for injuries. The club were also the ones that agreed to release him instead of playing hard ball and now our halves depth has gone backwards as has the pressure on Shaun Johnson to perform consistently.

We should have dropped Shaun for a few weeks when we had the chance to show the faith and value we held in Kyle (along with the rocket SJ deserved). We shouldn't have extended Chad. We shouldn't have released Kyle from his final year and instead dangled the carrot of being our future 7 and second up 5/8 in the interim with a nice contract to come in 2021. He would have continued to bolster our halves depth in the mean time while working on his game.

I think the club had options and went about it ass backwards

How much the level of toxicity towards the club from Flanno Snr or even Jnr played if any I don't know. Maybe it became untenable regardless

Dropping SJ to the bench was the right move imo, that alone is a massive kick in the nuts for someone of his stature. There wasn't a need to drop him altogether.

There's absolutely no doubt in my mind his old man was a massive factor in junior leaving.

100%. If Flanno is still our coach, Flanju is still here. And he'd still be playing behind SJ and CT and handling it fine.
But, Flanno gone, it was only a matter of time before Kyle walked out the door.

I don’t agree with only one thing here..

I’m pretty sure coach would’ve been playing his son ahead of CT and by now CT would’ve signed with a new club... keeping SJ to pair with Kyle. To me that would’ve been more desirable

Past is the past but yes hopefully this article reaches the Sharks, maybe our training is lax ? I wouldn’t be surprised we seemed out of steam a lot

This is the year Morris takes proper ownership of the team. I would be surprised if the training intensity were lacking, unless it was with individual players.

Agreed, I think he would have been reticent to change things up too much in such a short time. It was evident our attack was tinkered with a bit, and sounds like working towards top 4 defense is the goal this off season.
