but that's not how it works here though. Yeah you will see a player trade here and there but clubs never pay fees for Australia based situations like this.

We got our premiership winning halfback from the Warriors after he broke his contract. Didn't seem a problem then so we can't have a cry when the shoe is on the other foot.

Yeah but that was mutual, He wasn't going that great over there the warriors didn't have him in their long term plans and were stoked when the sharks offered to take him back.

I'm not sure we want to swap with the Titans. They won't release the better outside backs and I wouldn't get too exited over the others. Maybe Karl Lawton would be OK as a centre/utilty, but he's a local so unlikely we would get him. If Ricky wants to leave for family reasons at least it's good to know now rather than in November so we can look for a replacement while there are plenty on the market.

Any Shire girls willing to head up the Gold Coast and get themselves pregnant to a Titans' player?

Im not crying cos this decision costs us. I just dont like it at all in the game. I have no problem with a player breaking contract, especially for personal reasons such as chads. But i do think thenclub doing the releasing deserves something from it

Just when he started to come good he leaves. I'll be more upset about losing ricky than bird tbh

The fact he is on a small contract at the moment probably doesn't help
Totally agree. He came here and started playing for Newtown, and the Sharks made him a very good centre. Never let's you down, just hitting his peak now. Big loss.

Surely this ensures Fergo comes back here.

Roosters need to make room, we are down 2 centres

Forgot to mention the squeeze that Brisbane must be feeling with all the upgrades.

We have serious coin to play with.

Do we dare to dream about signing chambers/gagai/Roberts/Fergo.

I'd pay significant money for any and all of those mentioned. Roberts is a proven match winner at this point and you'd give him jack bird type money surely

Or do we invest in Jesse ramien for one of the centre positions?

With both Ricky and Bird moving on, its an absolute must to pick up one of those 4 centres mentioned above.

All 4 are capable of being match winners and all 4 are upgrades on Bird or Ricky.

Roberts/Fergo seem the most attainable as both their respective clubs will be feeling salary cap pressure after making big money signings in Bird/Teddy.

Get it done Flanno and Co.

Also rate the idea of groom Ramien. Maybe even give Beale another year to groom Ramien for one more season with an eye towards Ramien taking his spot in '19.

I reckon you're right, but I don't like it. Fergo has the consistency of bad home brew. The odd great batch, and a lot middling to undrinkable crap, with the odd explosion that ruins everything in sight.
