In my opinion it is a no brainer. We should sign him.
The team tried so damn hard in the last few rounds of the comp, the forwards worked their rings off, and for no rewards because still can't attack and finish off games.
Carney would be the difference.
Just out of curiosity to those saying no to carney would you say no to bird aswell?
I would have em both.
Gallen went to Bali after the dally-m's, is he back already?
I say yes, but with a strict good behaviour clause. Pay a minimum wage, with the rest paid after no incidents.
I agree with this. One player is not going to make us a premiership threat, but there were probably 6-7 games this year where better performances by one or both of our halves would have gotten us the points.NO
i've explained before but i'll do it again.
1) his efforts this year have shown that he can't bring a second rate team to the top. even if the Roosters made it all the way last year, THAT WAS NOT A SOLO EFFORT. no solo effort will save the Sharks anyways.
Not really a fair question your comparing apples to figs.
Carney is a serial offender of the highest order and has been sacked from another club he has shown nothing more then utter contempt for what has been asked of him from those clubs.
Bird has gone the other way from all reports and has been following the rules that were set out for him at the GC good idea if you want ot keep playing.
So yes I would have Bird back he deserves another chance as he was never found guilty and the situation was just handled quite badly by all parties, manager, player and club.
As for carney how can you help a person that cant help himself or should I say wont help himself and what if we lost one of our young guys for him to stuff up and we then have no one to replace him with, also a real good standard to set for AK and the young guys as well.
NO thanks
You didn't mention the worst thing he did greg_bird.
He told his coach and employer that he needed a game off to chill out with his mum and get some downtime as he was exhausted and needed the rest. They granted him that, and he went and partied with his mates in Oxford street instead. He didn't even try to stay out of the limelight to try and hide what he was doing, he was flaunting it.
He doesn't have a drinking problem, or a mental health issue. He is just an idiot. An ********. A wanker. A bad person. He makes bad decisions. He doesn't care. He knows that he can get away with literally anything and a sorry old club like the Cronulla Sharks will employ him.
Well I say no to that.
I don't believe this is the case
Carney wouldn't be the difference.
When we get in an attacking position, there are 12 other players (other than the 5/8th) who AREN'T running angles, standing deep enough to receive a pass, running on hard, finishing the play etc etc etc.
That's why our attack looked flat, because it WAS flat. All over the park. Not just at 5/8th. Carney isn't going to change that.
but if you COULD straighten him out would offer so much to your company and could put you near the top.
at least cronulla isnt in the city and the lifestyle isnt as party mode and we dotn have ******s that want to go out and get blind every weekend
