Yeah planning on going to the beer, footy and food festival this year with a mate. Will be the first time I have gone. Should be a good day out.
It’s a good day out but lines can be crazy. Some of the stalls often run out of food.

My tip get there early

Continuing a better week for him, the South’s coach has added to Jets tally

Canberra score just before the break. Looked like a shocking call. Was a grubber kick through, and Canberra player touched it down on or over the dead ball line.

I missed all the earlier tries. Canberra look to have a stronger forward pack, and that might get them the win

They showed the highlights very quickly at half time/:

- First try great break by Ison, set up Dykes to score
- second try nice Gidley flick by Vea’ila to Stonestreet, who did well to beat the fullback
- third try Demetriou found a gap from nothing

Ison did an excellent try saver later in the half too. Dykes looked dangerous a couple of times. Another hot slowish game. Commentator said Hosking has had a big half… though commentator gets the players wrong at least once a set so who knows.

16-12 Jets

Ricky Stuart’s son on the left wing for the Jets, and Cotric right centre

I think Jets will struggle to hold on, Raiders have a strong team.

Ison and Vea’ila both seem like top poaching efforts to get over

Weekes makes a break and sets up Hohepa Puru on the last tackle. Raiders 18-16. Raiders forwards carving us up in the middle with offloads. Might be a preview of tomorrow

We need to try and pick up one of these Raiders forwards. Big, strong, fast forwards. Swap Puru for his brother maybe

Jed Stuart scores off our short line dropout stepping through 3 or 4. Not great defence. Raiders 26-16 .

Vea’ila scores out of nowhere, beat his opposite centre and a couple of others. Jets were going nowhere, tired out with 12 players. Jets down 22-28 now. Great conversion by Puru. Ten minutes left. Jets back to 13 players

Try to Jets, ground announcer said it’s Ferris. Jersey number doesn’t match though? Did the same as Vea’ila did. Another great conversion by Puru. 28-all
