Peach it seems you're not bothering to argue the facts. Yes, Union may be a **** game compared to league but you can't knock O'Neill for his facts if you're not gonna use any and keep resorting to the 'Union and AFL's gay' argument.

Which, might I add, is a strong argument haha :p

haha schifcofske is now stuck playing club rugby infront of a massive crowd of 100

I see he played for the Australia A side against Japan (along with Ryan Cross) and they won by about the same amount the Qld Reds lost to one of the South African Super 14 sides by - a margin in the vicinity of 90-odd points I believe :D Apparently it was played in Townsville of all places, and I would say that rugby union would be about as popular up there as the Maroons will be at Telstra Stadium tonight!

YEah my cousin played 2nd grade for Sydney Uni on that pitch today - I'll give him a call and ask how it was.

Wests Tigers say goodbye to Russian
Friday, June 15, 2007 - 9:45 PM

The Wests Tigers have bid farewell to their Russian import with Roman Ovchinnikov flying back to his homeland after his three-month visa expired.

Ovchinnikov played for both of the club's two Premier League outfits - Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers and Western Suburbs Magpies - during his short stint with the Tigers.

And while unable to break into the NRL, the club was more than happy with his development.

"We were very happy with his attitude, his English came on really well, and he developed as a player," said Tigers recruitment manager Warren McDonnell.

Ovchinnikov had caught the eye of Tim Sheens while the Tigers coach was serving as coaching director of the Russian national team last November.

Ovchinnikov was the captain of Moscow Locomotiv, the strongest club in the 10 team Russian competition.

"Tim Sheens will be involved with the coaching of the Russian team at the end of this season to help them with their World Cup aspirations. Tim will catch up with Roman then and assess his future from there," McDonnell said.

"With the way his visa was, he was unable to renew it without leaving Australia.

"As he was leaving at the end of July for the birth of his first child, the time frame was too short for him to leave and return before that time."
