We really missed having Paulo out there tonight, our ruck defence was atrocious.

Gal played too many consecutive minutes and I don't understand why we started with Prior on the bench, would have been really handy in trying to handle Tapou.

Yep Prior on the bench, bad experiment! ok if we had a Fifita sized 2nd big boppa.

Well that's been coming all year. Can't expect to keep on winning when you let the opposition get out to a lead and keep disrespecting the ball.

64% completion from our guys today. Sums up how the game went.

Nice to see the two guys celebrating milestones grab tries but there wasn't much also to write home about here.

Yep and all or outside inside balls to Val are SO predictable .
Coach has to work out a better way of getting Val involved in attack

I'm seriously thinking Heino's days are numbered. I feel we need Latimore on the bench as we are lacking size. We are getting bashed. Bird did not look interested and Val continues to struggle at fullback.

our attack was clunky as and predictable for the most part, our Origin players look rekd and disjointed (somewhat understandable), we were sloppy in all discipline areas including defense. Our kicking game is close to non existent barring some occasional inspiration and our goal line defense has been worked out and looks shot.

What a surprise it was a milstone game in front of a decent home crowd...

Manly were stronger, more energetic, played smarter and their halves and forwards embarrassed ours. Green seems to love stepping up against us and DCE was solid with a good kicking game. They brought a game winning attitude and plan and we looked like we were just winging it hoping someone else would get the job done.

Manly are a grubby scum club full of dirtbags but they deserved the win and no amount of ref calls would have changed tonights result.

I just hope that hurt our players as much as the fans

Yeah he just gets lined up and smashed

Fox Legends just replayed ET's career
He said it was all about sniffing out opportunities yet also being in your position when required .
He's just lurk behind Gavin Miller and the like and go charging for the gap , screaming for the ball .
I'm sure if the coaches said to Val , do the same .
Wade , Fif's , Gal and Lewy would pop the pass at the right moment and we'd all reap the rewards .
C'mon Val , you can do it !!!

Val does lurk around somewhat but teams are ready for it (especially the outside in ball...) - he just isn't that dangerous with the ball in hand unless he is finishing of a play but as a link man or someone to create something he has a very long way to go

he just doesn't engage the defense like the good fullbacks do. Sure he is great for a epic solo line break on occasion but his overall game hasn't really evolved all that much since becoming the permanent no.1

Seggy will not be back next week. It seems Paulo will be our hooker.

I love Val, I think he's an exciting player. But after today I'm now starting to wonder if he's going to be a success at fullback.
I think we have no choice but to keep him there though, I certainly wouldn't have Bird or Beale there.

But next year, if Val doesn't fire early on Dugan will be our number one.

ET is a class above Val. At this rate Dugan will take fullback from him.

Might be the least of our problems but surely Lee comes in for Beale, may as well have not been on the field.

Bloke might be a gumby but at least plays with a lot of energy.

I don't like picking out individuals but gee Heino (as much as I worship the big fella) is just flat out inaffective as a ball runner now, been thinking it for weeks but tonight really drove it home.

Val look exhausted as well, probably shouldn't of backed up, and Brailey has been strung out now for a good few weeks as well, probably a blessing in disguise his little rest.

How good is Luke Lewis.. please don't move on or retire, please.

I really don't see us improving a lot tbh. Apart from a handful of games we've been very average all year.
