Start of the big road trip!

We are back to Shark Park after this game but we then have the Broncs and Cows north of the border.

Big game without Maloney - we should win this but given the circumstances I will be happy with a tough, low scoring win.

The big talking points have been who will replace Maloney.

Everyone laughed at my "Val to 6" comment and probably rightly so, but it is still an intriguing discussion as to who will replace Maloney.

Bird to 6 gives the least disruption to last week's lineup but is he fit?
Other options have been Nu at 6 with Seggy at 9.

Hopefully whatever lineup we have sees us with a win keeping us in the top four.

Can't train to play a team like the Warriors. Should spend the week playing indoor cricket

****, injuries are hitting us hard. Maloney shouldn't be too far away, but I really hope Brailey gets back on the field soon. For such a young bloke he has such a steady influence on the team... a young Jeff Robson if you will

He may have more hair, but he will never be as calming as I am

I'd probably go Nu at 6 with Seggy and Paulo sharing the hooking role. Not sure who I'd have start out of the two.

Won't be upset if a different combination is used though. There's a few ways we can go really.

I'd say gifting the opposition 3 soft tries in defense was fairly disruptive Chad ;)

I read what you are saying as "not disrupting the hooker rotation". IMO given that Nu is a makeshift hooker anyway I wouldn't be too worried about that. Paulo can handle it. Also - Flano moved Bird to the right edge late against the Titans, so you have to consider into calculations that we are possibly making our halfback switch sides of the field. I'd consider that more of a disruption than swapping one makeshift hooker for another.

Not saying Flano won't go with Bird at 6 - just that the "less disruption" argument isn't valid.

I feel for Nu.
Finally getting his chance in first grade and showing his skill only to then be going to the Dogs to play "Des ball" next year.

So much skill wasted. It will set him back by 5 years!

I'd be leaving Nu at 9, he's finally started to look good the past two games.
that's the shame of it all, he's played his best footy for us at 9 and started to build his confidence there. He's never done much for us at 6 but hopefully that confidence and stringing these games together will serve him well if he is slotted back into the halves
I don't expect him to be a maloney like play maker but if he can just get himself involved and run the ball as much as possible chipping in with the odd pass and kick he might do a job for us
