Our wingers and centres tonight:

Capewell 251 metres
Leutele 169
Feki 162

That's some solid metres

I thought Lee lacked a bit of confidence at times. There were two occasions in the first half where if he pinned his ears back and went for the corner he probably scores.

he's walking the tight rope between reserve grade and firsts, hard to blame him if confidence a little down and doesn't want to risk an error or going into touch but I didn't really see him as having those chances in the corner myself, he handled the situations well in attack and monstered nigama a few times on kick chase tackles as well

thought he made a very good account of himself tonight, probably the best our right side has looked in a while actually

wasn't adding all that much in his initial games for us but I don't recall him ever having a poor error riddle game or anything

I know Capewell is better suited to back row.

I know the opposition was not great tonight.

But there can be no way that Beale beats Capewell to a spot next week .

I do not care what number he wears.

Lets not wait for Beale to cost us a game, it has nearly happened on multiple occasions.

Flanno said in the press conference that he is about due for a spot in the top 17. I think it's going to be Beale who's spot he takes

Capewell doesn't play on the wing and neither do Leutele or Bird, so how does Capewell take Beale's spot?

Food for thought - leave the right side as it was tonight and have bird come off the bench. I'm sure there are pros and cons to that like birds defence is generally spot on and capewell did get burnt on the outside by wighton earlier in the year etc

Capewell's spot, would be what Beales spot should be, on the bench.

I'd have a backline of 1-Holmes 2-Feki 3-Bird 4-Loots 5-Lee

If Homes is injured, Bird to fullback Capes to centre
Is feki is injured you can go Capes to left centre and Loots to wing
Bird injured, Capes slots in and if Lee is injured Capes slots in again.

He offers the same diversity that Beale offered last year (btw I think loots can cover wing and I think Bird can if it's needed) and also has the added ability of slotting in the forwards too, which Beale couldn't do... although you could push Bird to the forwards and put Beale in his spot.

Capewells second try, was he lucky or was it a fair try just momentum?
I think if he was looking at the ball or looking up, he'd get called for double movement. His head was down made it seem like he was in the motion a bit more. Was 50/50 for mine but I'm glad we got the call

Slow motion for me it looked like a double movement, I'd given up seeing that sloew replay to be honest. fast motion full speed when I saw it again it certainly looked a fair enough try. They must have gone by the full speed replay in the end.

didnt think it was going to go our way. I was very surprised when they mentioned they were looking at the grounding. Happy with the result but I'm sure I'd be pissed if it were the other way around

I couldnt hear the words from the referees so I had no idea what they were saying or the replay they were going for. I got a shock & a good relief when the "Try" signal went up.

Just finished watching the game. Geez these guys can pull a game out of their collective arses can they? That first half was infuriating though. Soft defence, absolute stupidity in attack. But somehow.......some-****ing-how........we win. **** me dead. That comeback was ballsy.

Kurt Capewell, Paul Gallen, Jayson Bukuya, Daniel Mortimer and Luke Lewis all stand outs. How about Mortimer??? We've taken the absolute piss out of him all year, then he comes out in his debut and shuts everyone up by sparking our attack and having a big hand in winning the game. Capewell was tremendous in the centres. I still see his future in the backrow, but wow, what an option to have for the 3 or 4 jumper.

We can't kid ourselves though. We need to learn to start putting in 80 minute games or we'll struggle at the business end of the year. It's good we're getting ourselves out of jail now, these points are so damn valuable, but it's not going to cut it in the finals. I hope we find it within ourselves soon.
