I thought I'd like to share a simple message with all my fellow Sharks fans. My father passed away during last week, it wasn't expected and to be honest I am at a complete loss as I am sure other members on this forum have experienced the feelings that come with bereavement. He lost his legs 5 years ago, and I was his full time carer ever since. Every night I slept on his bedroom floor so he wouldn't get lonely. Everything you could possibly imagine that had to be for his care, I did many times. The strange thing is, I loved every minute of it.
The one message I am trying to portray in this post is that no matter no many wooden spoons we win as a club, no matter how many games we lose, this is just a game. Nothing is more important than those we love, I know this is a cliche but please, every chance you get remind those you care about just how much they mean to you, because as I have found out, you may not get another chance.
There's nothing I wouldn't give to go back and have one last conversation with him, and I'm hoping in the future I will get that chance.
So please, as disappointing as this football season has been, please, please put it into perspective.
God bless you all.
