Mate, I get there very early to get a good parking spot, if you're not getting there until after say 2pm, forget it. As Iron said, you're better off driving to Sutherland, parking the car and getting the bus over. I'll be there sometime between 12pm and 1pm and will probably park somewhere in the side streets off Woolooware Rd.

So HB, you are going then?

Cheers mate, I think getting there for a cheeky club lunch then over to the ground might be a good idea.

It's 1.2km from the station to the ground which obviously includes crossing Captain Cook Drive. You're not doing that in less than 10.

I'll have a 9 month old as well, so anything easy is a good thing!

I'm fit. I didn't say it was a bitch of a walk, I'm saying it takes longer than 5 minutes.

I also admitted that 5 mins was probably too fast - at a brisk walk you'd make it in around 15 minutes then (which isn't really a bitch of a walk either!).

I remember sprinting (read fast running) to the game from the station one night as a mate and I was running late. Would have been in the late 90s. Was ****ing knackered and necked those first beers we bought.

Only missed about 5 mins of the game and I have no idea how long it took.

Cool story hey

Agree it's definitely not a bitch of a walk. I quite like it.

For some reason walking back after a win doesn't feel too bad at all. Walking back after a loss though feels like climbing Mt Everest.

I'm getting to the ground on friday just so i can get a good park

Yeah, wouldn't worry about it mate. I hear the area will be flooded. And a sink-hole had opened up right in the stadium... And the beers warm. Let's face it, NRL is a television sport, you'd be better off finding a nic, cosy pub...
