It does make the cap thing easier.

Hopefully that’s why we did it.

Hopefully we didn’t just get bullied in to it

100% why we did it.
The cap is why Roosters and media knew they could keep hounding and we’d have to end up doing it.

Just heard on 360 Pooper reckons we ‘deferred’ 150k of our cap fine last season to this season. So instead of 350/350 it’s 200/500. If true no wonder we are struggling to fit players, but he offered to evidence of it being true.

That was part of Dugan's salary I think

Even SuperCoach Daley and Yvonne Hampson were confused on Big Sports Breakfast this morning.

They couldn’t understand why we wouldn’t release him now( they obviously don’t know about our back line injury problems) and then they said they didn’t understand how it would affect our salary cap.

Absolute idiots.

The preview of our game Saturday night was also a laugh. 99% of the chat was about Souths and just 1% for us. Unanimous votes for Souths to win.

Boy I hope we beat him to **** em up. Just the one point will do.

I honestly don't recall a season when we've been so unanimously ignored or not rated ? I love it, let's fly under the radar.

I really don’t have a problem with no one talking about us or taking the Sharks seriously as contenders. Plays into our hands nicely. (In saying that, we’re probably not premiership contenders this year) Let them have their Souths circle jerk.

I was watching the nrl SuperCoach draft the other day. Cronulla were the only team without a player picked by Anasta, Parker, Hindy and Alexander. Even funnier was the host said on two occasions “ still yet to pick a player from tigers and bulldogs” - she didn’t even realise a Cronulla player wasn’t picked haha

Everyone keeps thinking of us as the Roosters NSW Cup team

Was bored on the train and noticed the Matty Johns podcast had a segment on the Sharks.

Apparently we’ve had an off-season full off turmoil? I must have missed it because aside from a few injuries it seems to have been one of the better ones.

Last year ... yeah sure.

Not this year imo.

There's been some to be fair.

Dugan stuff going on

Moylan repeatedly getting injured

Josh Morris stuff

Losing another CEO. Players probably don't care about that though.

Fine's illness

Definitely hasn't been the worst, but not great either.

going to miss his defense in the centres badly. he covers up so many mistakes, misreads and line breaks and his tackle isn't easy to break or shake off

could have had 2 trys easily tonight with some better passes though his handling wasn't the greatest tonight in general. still beast though and looking bulky as

will be dead to me in a few weeks

when I watched it again a few times on the extended highlights I got that impression as well. the pass wasn't behind him from Kennedy like the commentators were making out, if anything Morris is reaching out and he just spills it. should have done better

You’d expect Josh Morris to catch that typically.

Can’t suggest he isn’t playing 100% for us still though, a Rooster wouldn’t want to lose to the Rabbits

Equal third for handling errors.
Wasn't in top 50 last year or year before.

Wonder if there is an element of not quite giving 100% there...

Also made some uncharacteristic errors in trial.
